http://www.chegg.com/
better than buying if not needed....

rent the book you need for the full semester and save 65-85%.

TROLL 07-28-2009 04:29 PM

half.com for books in college... find the 2nd newest revision which will be about 20% of the cost of the current, or less... email your teacher and ask if its ok to use that one, they almost always say yes... then bam, books for next to nothing.

Welcome to college. Try to get a list of the books u need and search first on amazon etc. Then go to bookstore if you absolutely have to. And never sell them back. Always sell on amazon.

russiankid 07-28-2009 04:31 PM

Yeah... I need to figure out what me and DPan are gonna have. I'm not sure what I feel like eating... Especially because we normally don't cook at his house

Sam, check at regular Barnes and Noble too or on their website since you need 2008 editions. Sometimes they have good prices on used books but sometimes they don't. Plus online they offer free shipping on college books.

If you end up looking at a website for ordering, check www.retailmenot.com and search for the website on there. There's some good coupon codes on there sometimes too!

Elliott18t 07-28-2009 04:40 PM

Thanks for the tip. I'll search around and see if I can find those books cheaper than what I already bought them for. As long as I don't unpack them I can return them.
