nice find.

Thanks for posting. I've been so busy and haven't looked at the schedule. Picked up 285.30 Hoosiers for this season! Should be an interesting battle in SM.

I cant wait to get my car done, hopefully in time for the novice school in april. This will be my first year, and ill be in fp... hope to learn a lot this season, and dont expect to be anywhere near competitive. I hope to make it to every event at warminster as its 5 mins down the street from me.

Which lots don't have noise restrictions?

Dover might not. I know CBP and Warminster do, which is the majority of the events.

Awesome!! I took pics on the last event in Warminster for heats 1 and 3.....i will post there here if some of you did not see it on the SCCA Forums...

Come with an open mind, and you will learn tons. Look out for me, asian guy with matte black Evo. I'll help out anyway I can. We have a great group of guys and gals at these events.

They all are supposed to, but its not enforced from what I've experienced. You car has to be crazy loud before someone gives you a problem, which I've never seen.

I've seen a couple of people talked to for going over the sound limit.

Ditto for the novice school. I've been autoxing with SCCA for a year but never got a chance to go through the novice school. I'd love to see what I can learn from these guys!

This will be the first year I'm driving my miata instead of my WRX....I'm excited for the upcoming season!

chu 02-08-2012 05:45 PM

Khellen, as far as I know, the instructors are national level autox guys, and many have won national championships. I'm sure, or hope, you will learn a ton from them! I've been autox'ing for three years, and haven't gone through the schools. But I always get one fo the guys to ride with me when I'm unsure of something.

DPancoast 02-08-2012 05:51 PM

Man I HAVE to do at least one event this year

Awesome. I'll say hi if I see you out at any of the events!

thx chu, and ive actually decided to auto x in my wagon instead of my L. So I will be in STX for a while. I do have a question though. How hardcore are most of the other racers? I have a m/c brace and i know its not legal for stx(but its been on there for like 2 years). My question is do you think id be ok just loosening the plunger so that its no longer effective, or do you think they would make me completly remove it?

My experience is that it won't be an issue if it's not adjusted in a way that it's functional. In that case, you're just carrying extra weight.
