In for 5 seconds. Just placed another part order for a **** ton of lock nuts and other consumables. I'm supposed to use a special type of RTV on the diff (loctite 5970) so I will although I have a feeling permatex ultra black from pep boys would work fine but we're talking about $3 diff. Got all my shocks and struts out, got every bushing out of the bores, cleaned, sanded, primed and painted subframe and control arms. (shiny). I'm not sure if the paint will hold up. Primer is rated to only 200F but the paint is engine enamel at 500F. Going to add some additional rubber undercoating too for the sake of longetivity. Now all the bushings and ball joints are in the freezer cooling for easy assembly.

And pep boys has a spring compressor in their loaner parts. It's the kind that fits inside the coil. It absolutely has no chance of working on my car from both a length and strut thickness perspective. Fail... So off to return it and go to advance auto and see what they have.

Advance Auto might be your better choice. They usually have decent loaner tools then Pep Boy's has.

They do and done. Got one. They have 2 styles though I dont' know what you'd ever need the other style for.

Which one did you get?

I don't see a smiley with two guns, but I'll take Russankid's word for it.

Oh man I got soooo much done on the M3. Dan, I bought that tap and die set from sears and got like 30% off on it. I really didn't think much of it. Holy **** it fixed perfectly the threads of the 2 bolts I mauled as well as the bore. It's PERFECT now. No fuss, no drilling. I've never seen anything work so perfectly.

I also got the rear shocks built, I got all the subframe bushings pressed in except the little easy diff bushing which I destroyed due to my previous ineptitude (pressing bushings without breaking stuff is an art). I got my metal sleeved upper control arm bushings pressed in and I took my diff apart and got myself stuck when I lodged my one press fitting into the bushing bore. I need a giant wrench to thread it back out ;) I'll upload pics to the build thread.
