it'll be done Friday.

russiankid 07-20-2009 06:24 PM

Are you gonna bring it to Marks house on Sat?

DPancoast 07-20-2009 06:24 PM

yeah I'll be driving it around all weekend and get some miles on it

russiankid 07-20-2009 06:25 PM

Sweet. So what did they find?

Oakes 07-20-2009 06:26 PM

CALM THE **** DOWN SAM! CALM DOWN!

on that note. **** everything

DPancoast 07-20-2009 06:27 PM

head gasket wasn't torqued down enough.

thats pretty much it leaks wise, oil pressure sender was bad. The timing notch on the pulley is no where close to being lined up in time with the cams, so hopefully we were close enough to TDC when Art did it. Everything else is good to go.

also, Nick, you stfu lol

russiankid 07-20-2009 06:33 PM

Told ya the sender is bad.:-p

But glad they found the problem. Weird how the pulley is incorrect as its stock. I know my aftermarket flywheel on the Honda doesn't show correct marks to line up TDC. I figured out I got it correct with how the dizzy is set. On these cars, when the dizzy is centered on the bolts its at TDC...weird.

Oakes 07-20-2009 06:38 PM

I refuse to STFU!

DPancoast 07-20-2009 06:38 PM

yeah, I mean I dunno... I didn't really look at it in detail when I was there, but either way, he put a big fat mark on there for me to use in the future lol

So the mark has an arrow pointing to it that leads to a message on the back of the block stating, " This is the TDC mark for the crank. If not set correctly, Nick Oakes will come rape you in your sleep."

Oakes 07-20-2009 06:43 PM

Dpan, I'm going to kill you.
