eclipse security?

On my 2nd gen flip down visor, there is a set of 3 buttins, what are they for? How are they worked? I would imagine there for security purposes

BradC 11-28-2006 11:25 AM

I'm thinking they are homelink.

Willdue 11-28-2006 11:44 AM

But my last eclipse had it to?

drew 11-28-2006 11:47 AM

i'd imagine they open your garage door

Willdue 11-28-2006 11:57 AM

Idk, I think they come stock, cause each of them matched the color of the interior, and both were diff color int.

Some cars do have the option of coming with the buttons to open your garage doors. Did you check the owners manual?

Willdue 11-28-2006 12:06 PM

This car didt have one or I would've :). And I never figured it out in my old one cause I smashed it to soon.

theyre for opening garage doors or turning lights on etc...you have to program them to do what u want....if you need to know how to do it let me know

Willdue 11-28-2006 12:31 PM

Yea, I'd like to know please...

My pathfinder has 3, just like you say. The middle one, you're supposed to hold it down for 3 seconds until it blinks, then take your garage door opener and put it next to it and press the garage-opener button. It'll save the garage door frequency so you won't need an extra remote. The left and right ones we never got to work. Try it, lemme know

Gregory 11-28-2006 12:45 PM

if i remember correctly, you need to hold the middle one untill it blinks (and for the left or right one), press them and hold them after and then press your home remote... it's def in the owners manual if you have one though...

ToTheIX's 11-28-2006 01:26 PM

i never had to hold the center one, just the one i was programing, but like they said above, just hold the button-it will flash and then hold the button of the remote you want it to copy, then give it a try

turbo4g63 11-30-2006 08:02 PM

yea, they are for a garage door opener. their are instructions on how to program it in your owners manual
