Post why you HATE your car

I know we all love our cars... but post some things that you don't like about your car.

abrok99 10-11-2009 02:28 PM

The Captain 10-11-2009 02:33 PM

It's slow and should have been rwd.

jjm4life 10-11-2009 02:36 PM

its a constant target for other people to hit.

Honest_Bob 10-11-2009 02:49 PM

I havent saved a single penny since I bought it.

DPancoast 10-11-2009 02:54 PM

When I fix one thing, something else breaks.

My trans is retarded.

Parts are EXPENSIVE sometimes because its a 91...

Other than that, its just apart of being a car enthusiast. I wouldnt trade my experience thus far for the world.

tomustang 10-11-2009 02:54 PM

The 4 cam head weight. 70~lbs each head

clipse97 10-11-2009 02:56 PM

i put so much money into and it never ran right. parting it out now

Rush 10-11-2009 03:10 PM

There's absolutely NOTHING on it that's cheap to fix or maintain.

The doors are so heavy that they try to squash me every time I get in or out of the car.

Every time it rains, I have to clean the inside of my driver and passenger windows. Those windows roll themselves up/down just a little bit each time the doors are opened and closed -- so the days that it's raining, dribble-dribble, rain-drip streaks down the insides of the windows.

I can't take it anywhere without suffering mild panic attacks that something's going to happen to it -- which has only intensified since a construction sign fell on it a couple weeks ago.

People look at me funny when I get into and out of it, even moreso than they did when I owned my MSP.

Proven 10-11-2009 03:10 PM

-Takes me about 1 1/2 hours to do spark plugs
-Tranny needs to be stronger and its a 3-5k fix
-Engine bay looks sloppy and is impossible to tuck
-And Because its a Subaru some call it a Scooby doo (think this one bugs me the most )

sleeper15 10-11-2009 03:12 PM

2000 Dodge Durango - Eats gas. At least parts are cheap for it

2008 Honda Civic Mugen SI - get called ricer alot, stupid TPMS thinks i got a flat tire, and i don't (only with the cold weather), bought it on a impulse , it's a sausage magnet

1992 Honda Civic SI - Put alot of money into it, and havn't drivin it since 2006

thats about it

FocusDude 10-11-2009 03:13 PM

I wish I bought a wagon... I wish I would've added a turbo by now!

Otherwise I'm thrilled.

And I like the Escape for the most part. The seats are really uncomfortable, imho! Wifey loves them, go figure!

rturbo 930 10-11-2009 03:14 PM

Rust.

Got Insulin? 10-11-2009 03:15 PM

  • Lame previous owner mods
  • Cheap/ self-destructive interior
  • 90s auto seatbelts
  • Everyone thinking, especially people that have never owned one, it's a POS exclusively because it's a DSM

russiankid 10-11-2009 03:18 PM

Transmisson.

phate1229 10-11-2009 03:45 PM

03MSP 10-11-2009 04:48 PM

98ludeMC 10-11-2009 04:58 PM

its not mad jdm yo

Honest_Bob 10-11-2009 06:34 PM

It eats tires.
The fact that I only put 2k down.

CleanNeon98 10-11-2009 06:37 PM

As any car it has it's own problems.

It was a limited production car so it has some issues that Mazda never worked out and mechanics don't know...I don't mind cause I work on the car myself anyway
It makes ****ty power for being turbocharged. 155whp stock from a 1.8t on 7psi and Mazdaspeed did a HORRIBLE job tuning the ECU
MPG isn't really all that great, but for being short geared with a small turbo it's not bad
Aftermarket support is limited...suspension and chassis wise it's like being at toys R us, endless options, but engine and power wise it's pretty limited

Otherwise, I love my car, and everyone who gets a ride in it seems to love it too.

Nick Merrone 10-11-2009 06:57 PM

ASIAN JUL 10-11-2009 06:58 PM

Adam496 10-11-2009 07:00 PM

I hate my car because it has been sitting on jack stands for ever!!
http://i38.tinypic.com/20jsprk.jpg

Forc3 F3d 10-11-2009 07:00 PM

dumped way too much money into it for not being able to drive it STILL. much much much more money needs to get dumped in TO drive it...

Renegade_ 10-11-2009 07:02 PM

What I hate about my car is that is a POS tin can from the mid 90s with a motor that has a blown headgasket

Thats about it...

thats really pretty...

856jersey 10-11-2009 07:18 PM

It doesnt have an upgraded turbo like my last rex....

3rdGenMr2Girl 10-11-2009 07:38 PM

the mr2...
eats tires like no other..and they aren't cheap
something is ALWAYS broken..whether it be something as major as a blown motor or as minor as the air/fuel gauge not working
it's a 16 year old car, what do i expect

the 240...
the random spots of rust that need to be fixed
the sad excuse for paint that's left on it
the motor that leaks oil everywhere
20 year old car...poor thing.

Blackonblack89 10-11-2009 07:40 PM

The body rots around the engine. The engine is SO GREAT it does not deserve the body. umm the transmission's 3rd gear is holding back the potential of the engine even in a 3300lbs body. Even though it was not design for 350ft lbs. or more. Stupid expensive fix!!!!

Its always needs something wheather it me wanting to change it or cause I broke it. LOL

FazdaGt 10-11-2009 08:23 PM

It burns a quart of oil every few weeks...

The clutch sticks to the floor when i get a little spirited in my driving

the rear bumper always has a black mixture of oil and carbon **** all over it

Rear tires last a few months at the most

too many "friends" call asking to borrow it for weddings

blkZ06 10-11-2009 08:24 PM

it always breaks and nothing on it is less than $1000 to fix

MTuning 10-11-2009 08:30 PM

it's a fomoco in hiding.

dres2k 10-11-2009 08:43 PM

the soft top likes to squeak when i hit imperfections in the road. drives me nuts sometimes, but I usually have music playing, so most of the time, i could care less. that and i wish i had more low end torque lol

XxIriponzeesxX 10-11-2009 08:46 PM

my car doesnt like to start if its below 37 degrees. it doesnt get spark lol. thats the biggest thing. i hate the rust underneath. and it blows smoke out of the tailpipe like a mother. other than that i absolutely love my car. =)
