most tuesday/thursday nights, you can get 4 runs in before 6:30. then from 6:30 to 10 you normally get 2-3 more.

GeforceXtreme 07-01-2009 12:34 AM

Yeah you usually want to get there as early as possible if you want to make it worth your effort to go there. I mean if I only lived 5 minutes from the place I wouldn't care that I only got 2 runs. However being I drive over an hour I like to at least get 4 runs. The least I ever got was 2 runs and the most was 5 runs.

i've gotten 10 runs in one night. about 7 before 6:30

if i ever see you out there, i wanna run you in my stock formula. i went 13.0 @ 108. so it should be a drivers race

Yeah if you can launch your car you will win no matter what. I have to baby it off the line. The last time I went to Atco (the first time this year) My 60 foots were the worst I have ever seen. I got 2.4 60 foot and I was breaking loose over 50mph. I sure hope the track prep is better the next time I go. With my new tires I hope to get a little better traction off the line. If I could just pull off a 2.0 or 1.9 60 foot I will break into the 12's!

2drStunner 07-01-2009 07:09 AM

I couldnt of went on a better night! It drizzled for a few minutes before they started racing and never again. There was hardly anone there and I got 5 or 6 runs by 745! Ill post my slip up as soon as I get home. I forgot it there. I know one thing with this car I need some tires! :(

oneslowxa 07-01-2009 10:22 AM

Unfortanetly only a 15.4 at 87mph with a 2.2 60'. I couldnt get out of the hole!:cry: It didnt help that it was a 100% humidity and was still 82 degrees.

Ive heard most people to be in the 15.2 range some claim faster. I think with a set of tires it could easily be a mid 14 car.

From what I have heard those cars are pretty heavy so I think that is the reason why you got the time you did?. I bet if that sucker was pulling less weight it would fly. How much do those cars weight?. If you were able to pull off a 1.9 60 foot you would have been into the 14's without a problem I think. My best 60 foot to date on my FWD stock tires is 2.1 (almost a 2.2). The last time I went to Atco (this year) my 60 foots were SO bad. I was getting 2.4's and 2.3's. From what I have heard Atco hasn't been too great this year traction wise.

oneslowxa 07-01-2009 10:51 AM

definitely not bad for the auto, what were your tire pressures at, and rpm you launch at?

Ive heard they way in around 3400! I tried full tire pressure and then dropped them down to 26. 26 was def better. Most of the problem is with the tiny stock turbo your either in boost or your not. So when I try to build boost at the line I keep breaking the tires loose. If I had a set of dr's Id def be able to come out a lil harder. Atco IMO has been terrible this year with track prep. Ive raced there my whole life and Ive never seen it like this.

CleanNeon98 07-01-2009 05:41 PM

I actually got my best time at Atco this year, but I was never there before so I dunno how that compares.

i've been there watching a few times this year, and only once running. i ran great with my car. and others haven't complained about traction.

atco is normally a very well prepped track.

Streetracer1227 07-01-2009 10:24 PM

hows the usual money in the gambler's race? how bout car count?

AMF Racing 07-02-2009 12:54 AM

not bad sir for the conditions. I am not sure about the traction thing that night, but last friday I could not spin my tires to save my life.......i kept bogging and runnin garbage. love the new ride though rich!
