8th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Benefit Car Show. Sept 20th!

For 8 years running my friends and I have been organizing this ever growing car show with all proceeds benefitting those effected by the hardships brought on by CF.

Two of my close friends have/had Cystic Fibrosis so I have seen first hand the kind of hardships it can impose on a family. When one of my friends passed away in her mid twenties from this disease my close friends and I wanted to do something to help others affected by the disease. What was once a group of 50 cars hanging out in Peddler's Village has now turned into 200+ very diverse cars enjoying a day of comraderie in the name of a good cause.

This will be our first year in a new location that can handle more cars. We just plain outgrew Peddler's Village. This provides us with more room to grown and some freedom with vendors and food that we didn't have before. This all adds up for the potential to have our greatest show yet and we would love your help to make the show a success.

We donate 100% of the proceeds (entry fees and donations, and raffles) to families that are in financial need because of CF. Last year we were able to donate almost 5 grand from our little car show.

When: Sept 20th 2009
Where: Dublin Firehouse in Dublin, Pa. 18917
What: All makes and models are welcome. Old, new, classic, exotic, import and domestic.
Time: 10am till 5pm. Trophies are awarded at 4pm.

My favorite show of the year. Can't wait for it, looks like a little later date then usual. Maybe i'll be able to finish up my car and have it in the show.

Yeah, we pushed it back a little this year for better weather and do dodge some other events that were being held at similar times.

Several people have PM'd me and asked me how much to register. It's 15 dollars. You can check out our web site at www.myspace.com/cfbenefitcarshow however, it hasn't been updated for this year's show yet.

I was going to come out last year, but ran into a personal emergency. I'll come out this year for sure. This is a great thing you guys have going.

this looks like a really good event i know many people with cf i am going to go to this.. great idea and event to whoever thought up of this!

Things are really coming into form for the show this year. It will undoubtedly be the best show to date unless something freakish happens like it snows

been there since year 1 and loved seein it grow each year, good to see the new location should be a great turnout. Cant wait, especially since the samurai that won best of show 2nd year will be back out and just about finished. Great show and a great cause. i will def be there

Just realized this is at a new location, I'm so use to it being a peddlers village that i didn't even read everything written when it was first posted. Peddlers village was a great spot but it def was getting packed the last few years. Happy to hear of the new spot hopefully this one works out better then ever.

my mom went through years of treatment for this and i was very close to losing her.

its no joke and very scary she almost did not make it and im scared for my sister because it is supposed to run in the family.

Whew, I had no idea.

I don't think we have started a FB page for this show. That is a good idea.

We also have pavement for bikes this year if anyone wants to bring a bike out. I may bring both of my cars and my bike. haha

whats the goal for the fund raising this year out of curiosity?

225+ cars and $5k is my personal hope. Hard to say with the new location and all though.

I loved this meet last year and I'll definitely be there again.... that is if I don't burn this turd to the ground by then.
