Well, im in love.

Most may not like this car..but im IN LOVE. New kit out for the NA miata. This is the first car with it, and was at SEMA. Needless to say, Im going to be running the same wheels. My car is even red. After I get my motor boosted and running correctly, im buying this kit :) (i like it all besides the hood..which isnt a part of the kit."

In my eyes, that actually makes a Miata much more than just tolerable.

Kerplunk105 11-26-2008 06:36 PM

I like it! :o

omgjacki 11-26-2008 06:37 PM

I actually do like it. Nice.

Spocknasty 11-26-2008 06:38 PM

OH ****! That's badass! More info on that kit please.

CarbonIS 11-26-2008 06:39 PM

that is badass, looks like an s2k with the spoon roof

motorvated 11-26-2008 06:44 PM

The roof is a custom add on. Gets added onto the factory hard top. Not a whole lot of info on these kits, besides that they are $1200. The roof extension is another $800 I believe. so for what you see, its around $2K plus install and paint. There have been a few people order this already, and some have talked about molding the rears instead of riveting them on. I kind of like the rivets.

CleanNeon98 11-26-2008 06:44 PM

No go for me

doug 11-26-2008 06:50 PM

I do like how that looks, not a fan of that gaudy hood though.

TalonTsi97 11-26-2008 06:51 PM

I like it but needs a better flowing hood. I think molding the rear fenders would be sweet to.

motorvated 11-26-2008 06:52 PM

ya the hood has to go. ITs a carbon fiber vented hood. Kind of pointless IMHO. The stock hood on the NA is plenty light, since its aluminum. But other then the hood... TWO THUMBS UP

but there's no doubt in my mind that the guy that drives that miata is 100% not gay.

making your miata look sick would be a very easy way to lose the stereotype

motorvated 11-26-2008 06:57 PM

yea. the stereotype doesnt bother me much, because I know what the car can do on a track. I just love how it transforms the car. Other companys have tried to do it..but this one does it the best. I'll post some of the other track type setups

If I cared about stereotype I would have bought a muscle car, if people want to judge me based on my car, then I don't care

motorvated 11-26-2008 07:15 PM

differant kits

that **** looks good, almost like an old datsun look

motorvated 11-26-2008 07:19 PM

what do u guys think...the first one, or just the flares like the last one. Im not to into the 2nd one

redg2 11-26-2008 07:22 PM

personally i like the way the rear looks on the first one

motorvated 11-26-2008 07:30 PM

If im gonna do it..i should DO it. Ide go with the first kit. SO nice.

SlideWayzS13 11-26-2008 07:48 PM

The Hardtop kit is by far the best kit out for the Miata....

Hardtop > Vert

motorvated 11-26-2008 07:50 PM

you can still take your hardtop off, even with the extension kit. Just a pain in the ass. I do love my hardtop though!!

So..how awful is it to run the first kit, with a pretty much stock motor lol. Is that "rice"?

Scapegoat 11-26-2008 08:10 PM

iiii squirted in my pants

i'd call rice.. unless you throw in a bolt on roll bar and autocross the bitch...

man, i love first gen miatas... if i didn't have the truck i'd have a boosted first gen autocross car...

SpEcRv9 11-26-2008 08:18 PM

i dont get how cleanneon doesn't like things that make the miata look better?

that first kit is sooo sick.

motorvated 11-26-2008 08:18 PM

Well my plan for this car..is to lock the rear and get seriously into AUTOX and drifting.
Im debating on boosting it, or getting the first kit i posted. I already have coilovers, full exhaust and an intake on the way. I dont know..im torn on what to do. I want it all!!

CleanNeon98 11-26-2008 08:20 PM

Id just get a nice lip kit all around, and some small flares if you really want to run a wider wheel, and leave them riveted. The stuff you posted just looks excessive, almost ricey IMO

More my style

Stillen GLE 11-26-2008 08:20 PM

Kinda remind's me of the old Rx-7

motorvated 11-26-2008 08:23 PM

I posted one just like that oone^^

Goddabob 11-26-2008 08:24 PM

First kit looks sweet and I'd def keep the rivets

motorvated 11-26-2008 08:26 PM

I agree^^ I want to have a first born son...just so I can give it away for that first kit

Got Insulin? 11-26-2008 08:52 PM

I hate kitted cars, but I love every Miata that's been posted. That first red one looks phenominal.

CN: I really, really like those. Caged drop-tops are FTW.

BlkWhtTSI 11-26-2008 08:57 PM

the roof is pretty sick it just looks too much like a fd rx-7 for me, id feel like a poser, plus you still have those huge flip up headlights

motorvated 11-26-2008 08:59 PM

Flip up headlights are awesome...but i'll be doing Low Profile ones. They only raise up about half as much as they currently do

These?

http://www.duettomotors.com/miata/im...w-profile2.gif

Please for the love of god, don't do these

http://www.paul-davis.com/vehicles/miata/gold.jpg

I really can't stand either design

motorvated 11-26-2008 09:05 PM

well its a good thing im not building my car for you then. Is it not? OO and neither that you posted.

Silverfc88 11-26-2008 09:09 PM

I like the kit, but not the top extension. I think it would look better with just the regular hard top. Maybe a hood with the RE Amemiya style vents on it. Might look bad ass.

motorvated 11-26-2008 09:10 PM

ya ide be interested to see how that would look!

CleanNeon98 11-26-2008 09:10 PM

My suggestion

Small OEM-type spoiler, Racing Beat lip kit (or body kit if you really want), Raise up the car a tad, 15" wheels (like the ones you showed me yesterday), take the rear panel and debadge and black it, turn signal vents in flat black, and other little stuff...I don't have the patience to look through the Moss Miata catalog and flip through the hundreds of ricey ass parts they stock for Miatas so just post **** here. www.miata.net and go to the marketplace, look through the different sites on there and see if anything catches your fancy

or not, since my 2 cents dont seem to mean anything...do whatever you want.

motorvated 11-26-2008 09:13 PM

I never even look at Moss Motors..We have a differant style. You like the very clean, simple mods...and im not into that. Thanks for your input though.

Spocknasty 11-26-2008 09:28 PM

Alex likes cheap, easy "yawn" mods.
