Car Accident/New Car Ideas

Wanted to wait until I made my statement with the insurance company before I posted anything. I got in a car accident last night driving home.

Only picture I have from the scene taken by a family member. I am going to try and go today to get some more pictures of my car. As of now, it has not been looked at so they dont know if its going to be totaled or repaired.

I was heading home (to the left) and my car somehow spun around and ended up facing the other way. The police thought it got stuck on the embankment and the backend spun around.

Thankfully, I am just very sore and bruised. I was the only one in the car (whew) and no other cars were involved (whew again)

Indeed. As they always say a car can be replaced, you can't. Hopefully the car isn't totalled. Even better that your not totalled.

It looks like she just spun as the roof isn't damaged. Sorry to hear though, like everyone else said glad you're ok. From the pics, it looks like the damage is fixable.

I was thinking that when I was taking pictures "it'll buff out, liz" :help:

I just got it in 2/08. I've made like 5 payments so far  :(

glad you're ok ;)

Pocket_Rocket 08-06-2008 04:01 PM

Wow, I had no idea that was you! I rounded the corner right behind the first cop in my SRT-4 and there you were all up on the bank. I was like how the heck did that happen?? I saw that the bags had deployed but that everyone was out.

Sorry to see it but glad you are ok.. Subies hold their value quite well so I doubt it is a total but you never know. If not, just look at it as a fancy way of getting those stone chips fixed..

Kerplunk105 08-06-2008 04:05 PM

Wow, really? How did it scene look?

I was having major panic attacks and dont really remember much of being in the car.

4g64FTL 08-06-2008 04:17 PM

That may not buff out, glad you are ok :)

TGilb2007 08-06-2008 04:27 PM

Guess the car really wanted to go explore its rally roots?

Kerplunk105 08-06-2008 04:29 PM

omgjacki 08-06-2008 05:41 PM

Aww that really sucks. Hope you feel better, Liz.

halfhorsepower 08-06-2008 05:53 PM

I am glad you're ok miss liz!!!!!! :)

That first photo i took with my phone, sorry i didn't get more i was a bit upset and all pumped up on adrenaline from the whole ordeal.

Yes, the roads were wet, and they were newly repaved as well, so that needs to be looked at by DOT in my opinion. Maybe they need to put a better rain wicking system in place there.

I think the car will be fixed, not totaled, because its mostly the body panels that were affected, i am unsure about internal components or anything else though. From what i saw at the scene when the hood was up it was actually ok enough to drive away, nothing looked crunked or borked inside.

BeautifullyBlued 08-06-2008 06:08 PM

Team Wagon = 0

Team Liz = 1

YOU WIN!

Glad to know your alright. Was the car still running? Might be the decider of totaling or not.

Kerplunk105 08-06-2008 06:22 PM

I dont remember if it was...I'm pretty sure they had to turn it off?

zerioustt 08-06-2008 06:25 PM
