650cc Or 800cc Injectors
ok so im doing a turbo swap. i have a 2.0 with the TD04 turbo and stock WRX injectors.. im gonna put the VF39 turbo on but can i run it with stock injectors for like a week or so till i get my next check or do i have to up the injectors right away.. and if i do then i know i have to do the fuel pump as well.. but my question is can i just do a 650cc injector or do i need the 800cc injectors for the VF39.. its gonna stay my daily driver so keep that in mind that some sort of fuel economy would be considered.. thanks JIM
basically im also asking can i use my stock WRX injectors till i get the 650 or 800 injectors in.. we looking at maybe a week or two max till i get my other injectors.. |
How much you willing to sell the stock injectors for? How many miles on them?
|
50000 miles i dont know how much you willing to pay???
|
What color are they? i dont know alot about subarus but im pretty sure there the ones needed. I have no idea what there worth i was going to ask around on here when it came time to buy but i was broed and seen your post so i figured i ask if they were for sale.
|
stock wrx injectors are blue you can get them modded to flow 880cc's
i was going to have my stockers modded then i bought a set of cheap jdm sti pinks stock injectors o for like 50-100 depending on mileage things like that |
oh and mie are for sale lol 50$ take them
|
You really need to plan this out. Running with stock injectors isnt going to work out to well unless you have a proper map to be doing that with. Your gonna risk running lean.
Everything but the fuel pump needs to be done at the same time. The fuel pump you can do before hand and not cause any damage. The injectors, turbo, engine management need to be done all at once. |
im already stage 3 on the utec so engine management is covered i just gotta turn the knob to stage 4 the VF39 map when i get the injectors..

You should be fine with the 660's unless your going with an external waste gate. I would go with whatever your stage 4 map calls for unless your getting a custom tune. Most likely it calls for pinks.
|
ok thanks for the advice and info. i got the pump in my room havent had time to install yet..
|
if you are gonna rock modded stockers, YOU MUST GET TUNED FOR THEM ASAP! STi pinks require no tune ( but still a good idea)
you will make out the pinks easily if you are going for max power. Honestly, mod the stocks. its cheaper in the long run |
how much to mod the stocks then????
do you guys do it?? |
150 bucks i believe through kgparts.com
heres the number 856 346 2778 ask for sal tell him ryan with the wagon sent you he is there this afternoon call him anytime before 7 |
We get $125 to mod them if you bring them to us. I have modded ones here that we sell as an exchange program. I have tested ones here that flowed over 800cc those are $200 + your injectors. or $500 outright.
|
I have a 2.0 with a 39 and modded injectors. I love them. Came out to almost 850CC!!!
Really cheap to do too.. Here is my print out! http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q...ectorstats.jpg |
wow. those cc's are all over the place!
|
the un modded stockers were.. after they are within 2.7%.
plus, its kinda a good thing. The way the fuel goes in WRX's is basicly a big loop. So you put the fattest one in the lean cyl and revers from there! |
I know how the fueling works in a Subaru ;) but no, Im talking about the 828- then up to the 850. thats a huge swing. like I wouldnt be comfortable with that swing. The stocks that I mod usually report back within 1.5% of eachother. Did you mod them or did you have them modded?>?
|
sent them out. I would be alittle worried too but they are 2.7% @ 850CC's I dont know when Im ever gonna get there..
A lot better then my 6.4" the stock much lower CC's. plus it only cost me 75$. |
no I was asking did YOU mod them or did you have them modded? Witchhunter doesnt mod injectors and clean them and flow test them for $75, that price is just for a clean and test alone
|
I had them modded by the local Subau dealership. I bought the tech lunch who modded them for me.. so... I would say cost me 90$ when it was all said and done.
