CHAOS 08-30-2007 12:10 PM

not bad.

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 12:12 PM

I'll probably end up painting it

There's no other CF on the car and probably wont be

CHAOS 08-30-2007 12:30 PM

sounds like a plan

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 12:46 PM

I want a DARE plate

Too bad they're not black anymore

ketchup! 08-30-2007 01:08 PM

i think you should get a cf hood, it would look dope

jc8889 08-30-2007 01:09 PM

Nice, was there a big weight difference in the trunks, not including the wing?

The trunk itself is probably less than 1/2 the weight

Not that 10lbs would matter

scoogan 08-30-2007 01:25 PM

dont paint it. Maybe look into painting the roof black w/ CF Hood?

yellow2000S/R 08-30-2007 01:25 PM

CF hood and paint the roof black between the rain rails.

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 01:35 PM

Wouldn't paint the roof

CF hood maybe

We'll see how money works out

scoogan 08-30-2007 01:36 PM

Black removable vinyl?

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 01:37 PM

Nah, just not my style

CF is flashy enough for me as is

scoogan 08-30-2007 01:42 PM

Got ya. Oh well looks sick

Buster 08-30-2007 01:55 PM

get a hood too, Im not really into C/F but it looks great with the orange. I hear hoods for your cars are pretty inexpensive.

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 02:00 PM

Not really

They're around $800

SpoolinDSM 08-30-2007 02:06 PM

Definately put the wing back on, just looks awkward IMO, but definately look for a cf hood.

My thinking is, why paint it, you aren't trying to make it sleeper it's your DD, so just make it look badass.

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 02:13 PM

The car will never see that wing again

Jourdan 08-30-2007 04:08 PM

dont paint it. stay wingless. get a cf hood and black or gunmetal rims....and call it a day...then your car will look mean.

Spocknasty 08-30-2007 04:27 PM

i paid 750 for mine. the cheap ones look good for a year before they turn yellow. i want the trunk so bad but i cant afford it right now. i guess its gonna take a rear end collision before i get one.

455monte 08-30-2007 06:26 PM

yea get a cf hood they look nice and good idea on keeping the wing off. theirs a guy near me that drives around in a yellow srt 4 and has a cf trunk and hood it looks badass. And it has a roll cage and drives with slicks every once in a while its really quick

Take them to a shop and get them cleaned, wetsanded, and 3 or 4 layers of clear put on them.

NOPSTNS 08-30-2007 07:24 PM

cf hood, cf lip, gunmetal wheels with a polished lip.....

then get a really really high tech alarm system!

wingless srt4 = tasteful owner

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 08:13 PM

I'm probably going to sell it, get my stock trunk holes filled and painted and then just the CF wing

180sxDrifter 08-30-2007 08:24 PM

leave it all CF and match it up with hood

goodfella732 08-30-2007 08:28 PM

Hey if you sell it let me know. Id rock a CF trunk. Give me motivation for the hood.

Chris_PA 08-30-2007 08:31 PM

I have a buyer lined up who has a CF AVS already
Said I could have his wing and he'd take my trunk

Just gotta see how much it would be to fill the holes on the stock trunk and get it resprayed
Any idea?

ozthunder 08-30-2007 08:40 PM

400-600 for my car, can't imagine it being much different for yours.

Munky 08-31-2007 06:00 AM

Why would you have just a cf avs on an orange trunk? Just get a fiberglass one and have them install and paint it when they fill your wing holes.

Turbo s60R 08-31-2007 06:56 AM

paint the trunk but some way leave some part of the wing unpinted like the white e46 m3 at kop
