War of the Worlds
 

Did anyone go see War of the Worlds yet? Man that movie was crazy. I have to say one the best movies I have seen in awhile. Its well worth going to go see that movie if you are going to see a movie.

not to ruin the movie...but give me some details about what its about

well,.. aliens come to earth,.. and um... go to war with it? haha

its a remake of a classic radio drama.

hrmm i wonder if the aliens are defeated the same way? (i wont say for those that dont know)

as hard as you try to not to ruin the movie...to some, that might have just been the dagger!

And someowhere in there form what i understand tom cruise runs around alot?

i didnt see it so i have no clue...

the only way you would know what i mean is if you know of the original, in which case you are probably wondering the same thing

im only 23 so the only reason i know about it is because its so classic.

it originally came out in the 50's i believe.. you know when there was shows on the radio like we have on tv :lol:

So the best part was def. when the one alien encountered a bicycle. That was funkin hilarious!

It was written in 1898 by H G Wells...and its original airing on the radio by Orsen Wells was Halloween, 1938

Dude i am not going to say anything about the movie because it was just so much in one movie that you must go see it. The movie was extra special because my 1 friend knows someone that works at the AMC in Nesh mall.. so got the entire group in for free. :thumbup: Sweet

saw it tonight....not my fav....i'd rather see a funny movie though...yes alien and bike thing i was like wtf you are pretty dumb...

Bread on window was funny 2! Overall i liked the move. My group got in free as well. Movies are damn expensive. What color is your car? Im up your way alot.

Nesh mall AMC 24 is only $7.00 dollars a movie for a student. I like that I can still pull off that I am a senior.

i downloaded it the other day, very good flick, went and saw it in theaters the next day

I thought the first hour was incredible, then it got worse and worse. Anyone else think Tom Cruise singing was a little awkward? Overall I liked it though, the action/special effects were great, I'd probably see it again for them. I still think the ending is awful though.

I liked it. Stuff blowing up = good movie.

Didn't see it and I don't plan on seeing it. I love the original(dad used to have it on Beta Max :eek: )and from the previews it looks like a generic 'aliens come to take over the world movie' I'll wait a few months and check it out on dvd.

The aliens reminded me of Gremlins. Oh and the ending ate ****. And was WAY TOO PREDICTABLE

Especially since it's based on a radio broadcast and a remake of the original movie...

Never seen the original so i wouldnt know.

I haven't seen this one yet...maybe this weekend.
What I really want to go see is Batman Begins on IMAX!

i know i missed alot, but what is IMAX?

IMAX is the giant screen and better sound, they have them at some museums, like the Aeronautics & Space Museum in DC. There is an IMAX Theater in King of Prussia, and there is a version of Batman Begins digitally remastered for it. In short, giant screen and better sound = Awesome Movie!

I saw Batman Begins opening night on the IMAX in KOP - It was awesome but see it on a regular screen at some point 2. In most of the action scenes stuff was happening 2 fast and 2 furious lol to see what was going on. Good movie though!
