2 incredibly fast 1g neon's on I-83 south
 

anyone from the york area ever seen a white R/T and black R/T ... both assumed to be turbo... one took me the other put up a fight... i wanna meet these guys the cars were effing fast. probably 2.4l swapped

no not really... one was white with blue racing stripes... and the other was black...

ill tell you what tho... my jaw dropped when at about 80 mph the white one had a car length on me... thats a fast little sleeper.

I thought there was someone on here that had a turbo 1st gen. IIRC it was a built single-cam. I thought he had posted pictures as well.

this sounds very familiar!!!!! last year there were the same sounding cars on 84th street they were quick but its hard to tell how fast they were going

prolly srt swapped, and i prolly know them both if the black one was an r/t coupe, i was considering buying it it was for sale from someone in va before i got the vic for about 5500

Did u see if the white one had either blue or white interior...cus the one guy i met before that had an R/T, had a built stock motor turboed and whooped on an evo 8 with turboback and reflash

ive got a 95 Dohc neon...its possible that it was just built with a turbo they r capable of 500hp...without nitrous

dont they share the same motor with the eclipse rs??? is so0o ive seen some crazy race intake manifolds, headers, and stroker kits for those motors

I've got beat by a miscolored one awhile back I was very upset.

I know there is a black one with a 4g63t in it in Philly.

no the motor in an eclipse has the intake manifold in the back...the intake mainfold on a dohc neon is in the front...but the head faces the same way on a 2g eclipse..

the white r/t with the stripes is srt swapped, runs somewhere in the 12's 1/4 mile wise...well it did when he swapped it over, clean car tho. i forget his name tho...

a lot of people underestimate the neon, it's funny, i have a turbo 1st gen, you should see the looks i get when i go zippin by cars at half throttle...with a blown headgasket, slippin clutch and no front bumper! lol

didnt you have a red 2g with a burnt bumper, no reverse gear, and broken bobble strut.

yeah that was me, (2nd gens dont have bobble struts) I snapped a solid motor mount, fixed my trans, cut out the burn in my bumper and fit my muffler up there, then replaced the whole exhaust with a longtube to 2.5 inch exhaust. added some little goodies under the hood and fixed my throttle cable cuz it wasnt opening wide open when you put the pedal to the floor...fixed it all in one morning and 3 hours later got hit from behind and cracked a guardrail at 55mph

car got totalled and i bought a not moving turbo 1st gen, fixed that up, asshole didnt tighten the headstuds down before i got it and the head lifted underboost, wrecked the headgasket. bought a shim and two gaskets and ripped the head off. my dumb ass didnt check to see if it was warped, put it all back together and it's leaking coolant inside the head yet...and now there's a charging problem.

haha damn thing came wigger ready with a bodykit and 17's, the rear was tucking til i gutted the whole inside of the car, i'm still working on gettin some more dead weight outta there yet, should be able to lift up the back end of the car by the time i'm done. If i get the head back off and have it shaved a bit and get it back together, whenever you come up to another ECN meet you can take a look at it...damn thing's a nitemare.

I'm not really too happy with the way that club's going so i'm not like hardcore affiliated with them, no more stickers or nothing, just been some people pissin me off so i'm not going to waste too much time on it.

yea i kinda got pissed after everyone started jumping around when i got a civic and made a thread. that club is really small, and i had my fun with them in the run, but things change. plus a lot of people htere are just neon obsessed like there is no tomorrow!

well i like neons a lot, doesnt mean it's the only car i'm going to drive, unless i'm in a really bad mood...as long as it has 4 wheels and a motor, it's getting driven.

that white one... definitely runs 12s lol... cause my car is more than capable of mid 12's haha... element see if you can contact that guy and get him to join up here...

I like the bumper. I saw a few neons in the UK, and didnt see any bumpers like that though, but the space for the plate is a UK size
