Thats awesome!! Very nice sleeper!!

cxrock16 12-28-2006 10:26 AM

wow.. you defenitly put alot of money in here.. a full motor swap from a 1.8 to a 2.0 a turbocharger setup.. whats your dyno?

ggmr610 12-28-2006 10:40 AM

looking good.
that cluster just bolts right in? me likey..
good work!

Crzyguy972 12-28-2006 01:13 PM

i have never seen an ic like that

CivSi06 12-28-2006 01:39 PM

thats awesome dude. i used to have a mk3 jetta but it got stolen..

IBLIS 12-28-2006 01:45 PM

ski rack mod FTW!

dt98gsr 12-28-2006 02:06 PM

I am liking the roof rack and more current gauge cluster. And I definitely wasn't expecting that setup under the hood.

What kind of numbers are you making? Definitley a sleeper in my book.

Now you should just put a badgeless grille on it and lower it. And if you wanna go with that old school Ratz look (which I think would be cool), maybe get white walls for it, and some chrome center caps.

I can picture it now...drool

Just some suggestions.

Anyways keep up the good work.

nomad 12-28-2006 03:48 PM

thanks for all the comments guys. but i don't think that i will be moding anything to soon. i just blew out my trany today, too much boost in second gear. oh well that means i can rebuild for a beafy tranny.

jc8889 12-28-2006 05:19 PM

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnnn..............Very interesting, sleeper Yes, fast you tell me.

OptiCon 12-28-2006 05:48 PM

Boosted Beaters! Oh that's good fun.

D Money 12-28-2006 05:52 PM

how much power.

SoStock92 12-28-2006 05:58 PM

Looks like a mk4 2.0 and mk4 1.8t side mount heh. What engine management you running? What sort of boosts?

nomad 12-28-2006 06:35 PM

it's on 11 pounds and it is tuned on a chip. so the power out put is prolly around 210-215 maybe.

D Money 12-28-2006 07:27 PM

oh, sick. Sounds like something that's fun to drive.

Black Power 12-28-2006 07:34 PM

ah i know that car, did you buy it like that off some kid? the car is ok for a 2.0t swap. nothing crazy, very inexpensive so have fun and don't worry about the parts b/c they are everywhere.

Honduh 12-28-2006 08:18 PM

Nice I like. Never seen a mk3 cluster in a mk2. Single rounds are also sex too.

ozthunder 12-28-2006 08:35 PM

Can anyone SCREAM sleeper?!

IntegrasAreBest 12-28-2006 09:05 PM

S L E E P E R ! ! !

2000MRDC2 12-29-2006 12:54 AM

nomad 12-29-2006 07:12 PM

well you know where i live now, so just stop by.

nomad 12-29-2006 07:15 PM

to let everyone else know, the gauge cluster is from the same car that the motor was taken out of, so yes that is the actual mileage.

are you sure on that, the engine is the mk4 version 2.0 and the cluster is a mk3.

Kuz 12-29-2006 08:30 PM

Doesnt look so new to me... :bigeek:

Haha kiddin... nice car.

nomad 12-29-2006 09:05 PM

nm i was wrong. sorry. that is the actual mileage though.
the dude who did the swap took it out of trashed golf.

Black Power 12-29-2006 09:24 PM

man, he must have really known his stuff if he got the mk3 cluster to read the actual mileage of the mk4 engine. , i am sorry for correcting you, but i am just telling the truth.

nomad 12-29-2006 10:43 PM

noooooo, i didn't mean to write that. what i meant to write is that when he took the motor out of his golf the mileage read 40,xxx. sorry for the confusion. that cluster is def a little off but it was a great find with the closeness in mileage. the motor prob has about 45-50 thou on it. it was still new when taken out.
