Undercover cop cars

On my way home, on Rt1 South, I saw a white Excursion XLT with black/grey bottom and chrome wheels and a gold 90's something Bonneville pull over a toyota with aftermarket wheels at the Sunoco right next to Faulkner Toyota/Cadillac.

Watch out.

And if there are any other undercover cop cars that you know of please let us know. That was certainly the first time I noticed them since I moved back.

SilverTurboRidin 06-02-2005 10:23 PM

ummm i middletown and falls both have gold mercury grand marquis that they used. both unmarked except you can see a dash mouth strobe light.

GeforceXtreme 06-02-2005 11:37 PM

Richburo Pa area, there is a early 2000 Black hevy Malibu that looks stock however it is an under-cover cop car. It has tint, and only way you can tell its him is, he has the front license plate that says "Heart of Chevrolet" or something like that. I have seen it now with a factory wing now, unless there is another one now. The car used to have no factory wing on it... hum. You usally see him sitting at the Firestation in Richburo.

I know there's something in the law that mandates that right to an extent. I don't remember the wording though.

PhillyGsx 06-03-2005 02:40 AM

Damn right dude. If it doesn't look like a patrol car in my rear-view, I'm calling 911.

Yea i agree if its not a cop car....ill drive my ass to the police station and stop especially cause i heard on the news last night about the accident with a real cop in langhorne yesterday he was responding to a call of a police imposter

MuddyREX 06-03-2005 08:15 AM

I saw a gold Chrysler Seabring convertible in Philly a little while back that was an unmarked police car. The weird part was that it had New York tags.

Twin_Cam 06-03-2005 09:52 AM

Warminster's unmarked cars are awful. They're still Crown Vics or Grand Marquis, they're just plain white, they have the floodlight out the side of the a-pillar, and the black panels next to the license plate and the "Police Interceptor" badge. Weaksauce.

kef 06-03-2005 01:11 PM

I'm almost 99% sure that an unmarked car does have to radio for a black and white durring a traffic stop.

Another good thing to look out for is if it dosn't have red lights.

As far as I know, you are right.

nickmahhh 06-03-2005 04:40 PM

down here in SJ, Ive seen white vans that have state trooper written on the side of them. Its a good idea, nobody is gonna slow down if there is a white van behind you

rsxchic05 06-04-2005 02:59 PM

sickclipz 06-04-2005 08:49 PM

When I saw the unmarked cars the cops had two guys handcuffed sitting on the ground while they were searching their car. There were no regular cop cars around.

in holland near the wawa and that shopping center there is a new unmarked black impala with tint pulling people over in the 25mph zone....ive seen him twice now

2point4DSM 06-07-2005 10:53 AM

I just saw a grey suburban and black denali in front of Best Buy/Redlion Rd. No marks except flashing lights.

That reminds me. The first time I ever got pulled over for drag racing... I raced a mustang who was working with a cop to nab people near University of Delaware area. Has anyone ever heard of that before.

That was a long time ago.

They have a GT in Philly that does this. I can't remember the color though..or if they still do.

For anyone in the Broomall / Springfield area-
Black Ford Explorer with a red and blue light in the lower left of the rear window, same light bar in the front with flashing headlights. The PD was doing a seatbelt check with it. I've seen it twice so far.

Saw an old dark blue dodge diplomat clockin right before faulkner toyota on Rt 1 going towards the boulevard....I know theyre startin to hit that area pretty hard

piratius 06-11-2005 02:43 AM

In Northern VA they have at least four Camaro SS's - two marked two unmarked. Also have a foxbody 5.0 mustang (or two) and a few newer cobras. Guess these are the "big guns" for the high-speed chases?

I don't speed anymore, after seeing those. Scary.

Northampton has a total of 12 unmarked rigs. There are a few white Tahoe's, Impala's, and even a light blue mid 80's vintage Impala with a blown 5.7......... for all the high speed pursuits here in sleepy Richboro.

99ElectronBlueCivicSi 06-13-2005 11:07 PM

They can in NYC. I was stopped by plain clothes narcs in an unmarked caravan in queens with no strobes, just flashing the hi beams on and off. And they recieved no uniformed back up. But I doubt they can do that in PA or NJ, since NYC is a police state thanks to Gouliani

Gorilla Unit 33 06-17-2005 04:00 PM

CHESTER :thumbdow: (wheres that? lol not the best area but the patroll some parts of 95 south near between aston and plymouth meeting exit) has a 2002 Mustang cobra all white with Police force emblems on the side and they also have a silver Ford windstar lol :supz:

I rode in that car. Before the 502 it had a 454, but the police chief that was before the current drove that. Car now sits in the police garage at the station, in the 3rd from the right bay. Last time i seen it, there was nothing but rubber clumps on the back quarter's

mysweetfracture 06-18-2005 01:15 PM

The Dublin branch of the PA State police has an officer who rides in a red sub 10 second cobra which used to be completely unmarked until about 2 years ago.

They aquired it through a drug forfiture and it was used to get the racers on 611 up my way. That was scary, i haven't seen him in quite a while though.

Montgomeryville has at least one unmarked crown vic, it's navy blue

The area Districts that The racers race in Philly have a few Unmarked's.. A white Stingray,a red stingray,a Green Cobra, and a blue Van..

Newtown Square has a Black Nitoused Mustang 5.0 with a Police emblem that they use for High Pursuits..

Birmingham has A Blue Jeep..

Coatesville has a Silver Taurus that they use for Drug busts...

And According to A Medic and My dad who has seen this-PA state troopers have a Blue Evo VIII.From what I heard its no joke either,They had a Civic and some other car my dad didnt recognize pulled over for racing on the bypass when my dad saw it.

LSHatch 06-26-2005 11:38 AM

Local cops= Use whatever the hell car they want to pull you over in. Be it on duty, off duty. If they want you over, they will get you pulled over and just call in a squad car.

DoubleOughtCel 06-26-2005 11:46 AM
