Worst Sports day ever in this town...

McNabb goes down
Eagles blow another game away
Dallas wins
Soriano signs with the cubs and not the Phillies
The Sixers and flyers still suck
Rutgers choked one out last night.

That about sums it up, although I could give a crap about Rutgers.

Trust me, Dallas is going to very tough with the new QB and talented receivers. i like them.
As far as the Eagles goes, the numbers they put up always looks like the game was very competitive and they could have easily won, but with the 14-21 points from kick off returns, interceptions....etc, the score is not even close. They are still tops in offense and probably fell some defense but still good.
Garcia did ok. We willl see what happens but they have a tough schedule.

Are you watching the same eagles team the rest of us are?
They were bad on special teams
They couldnt tackle
They got zero pressure on the QB
The offensive line couldnt get a push
The receivers couldnt catch the ball if they had an entire jar of stick-um
They've now lost to two of the worst teams in the league (Tampa Bay and the Titans are both young, below average football teams)

The point is, start looking forward to the spring because its going to be a very depressing sports winter in this city.

The funny part is, the colts are going to be in the playoffs when Dallas will be playing some early golf this year.

Ronin Tactical 11-22-2006 12:59 AM

Good time to STILL be a born and raised Dallas fan...

and what team do you see beating them in the NFC East this year? From where I'm sitting it will be Philly once again playing an early round of golf with the Giants possibly making the Wild Card and Dallas taking the division and seeing Chicago for the NFC Championship game.

HickRocket1258 11-22-2006 09:46 AM

What is with everyone saying the Eagles are doing so good and are great when they are 4-1 to start and then when they are now 5-5 everyone says they suck. You all have no idea on whether or not the Eagles are going to make it. They are only one back of the standings in the division and would have to win against the Giants if they end up as a tiebreaker. There is still hope. Tired of the bandwagon bs.

And Dallas is tough to play now considering Romo is becoming a good qb now.

TTsupra911 11-22-2006 09:54 AM

^ With McNabb now out for the season it's going to hard for the Eagles to do much. Only time will tell though. Garcia has played with the West Coast offense his entire career and Feeley has been the backup for quite a few seasons now. So both at least have a general understanding on how the Eagles offense runs, but unfortunatly the Eagles weren't doing much with McNabb in there so its hard to tell how they are going to compete without him.

Also with a hot start like they had at 4-1 it got a lot of your average Philly fans excited again giving them hope. However with dropping the last 4 out of 5 games it has quickly turned the table on a lot of those fans and they are the ones who you hear complaining about the Eagles being bad.

I never said Philly wouldn't be playng early golf.. they sure will be.. I knew it when they lost to the buccaneers. But I think the Giants will take the NFC East.

Have you watched the way the Giants have played the last 5 games? They look completely disoriented and Manning looks lost. The way the Giants are playing now I do not see them taking the NFC East. I would be more inclined to say the the Giants will take the Wild Card spot, but I have seen stranger things happen.

But still the fact remains the Giants are 3-0 in the division versus 1-3 of Dallas. Anything can happen still, there's a lot of football to be played.

TTsupra911 11-22-2006 10:56 AM

^ This is true and I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of this season plays out. All that I know is that I am excited to see how this season turns out for Dallas

HickRocket1258 11-22-2006 11:47 AM

Doug I'm sorry but I will have to diagree with you and say that Giants aren't going to win the NFC East. And TTSupra now the Eagles can start going to the running game some which they should have been doing in the first place. I just get tired of the average Philly bandwagon people that is all.
