I have a friend that used to do coke and it strongly offends me. The fact that something like that is allowed on this site reflects so negatively on this site and the people who run it i don't even wanna be a member. I think that things like this will turn people away. I don't understand how cursing can be against the rules, but drug use can be used as a joke. Take this seriously or not but that is the way i feel.

wow, if u honestly truly were offended by that, then i think u would've pm'ed him and asked him politely to take it down. And if he didn't then maybe go to a moderator. What is the purpose of this thread? I had someone that was like a brother to me almost die and ruin many people lives, including my own, because of drugs. But i don't have to publicly whine about it. Seriously i mean no offense, but ur acting extremely childish about this whole thing.

Develop a thicker skin and remember that the entire world doesn't revolve around you and you'll live longer due to a much reduced stress level.

But here's what you have to remember, it's AN AVATAR. It has NO impact whatsoever on anyones life on this board. Period.

If you get offended over things like avatars, pictures or stories posted on the internet in general, or other such trivial items, you should just toss the computer in the trash. It'll save you loads of heartache and hurt feelings.

IMO, sure.

However, given that this site censors curse words, I'd say that things that are R rated or higher due to being sexually explicit should not be used.

I recall Nickmahhh getting banned for the explicit avatars.

drugs are illegal
at 18+ looking at pussy is legal
at any age, cursing is legal (though frowned upon)

i think people on here take things a little too seriously. of course, everyone is going to have different levels of tolerance. it's the INTERNET for christ's sake, **** happens and you may see things that may or may not offend people. best thing to do is just turn the other cheek. hell, I remember I got flamed for having an avatar of a dog barking at another dog and the motto was: "STFU NOOB!". a moderator considered it "derogatory to newcomers and could possibly ward them from the site". I was threatened to be banned if it wasn't taken down, but yet somebody could have a squirrel smoking a joint as an avatar, or half naked girls and whatnot. it's the stupid, trivial stuff like that which makes my visits to this forum very infrequent
