Dover, DE - Thursday Meets
 

It's been discussed in other threads, so I figured I'd start one specifically for this meet.

All makes and models are welcome. Leave the dumb crap and s*** talking at home. This is not the spot for burnouts, racing, drifting, and other types of reckless driving. For the record, this is not my meet, I'm just a regular attendee.

I'll be out to the next one. I have to work this coming Thursday. Ill bring an appitite with me to lol.

The regular meets in Dover are a typical type of meet. This past Middletown meet was a cruise for food kind of thing. There is a Jakes right next to where we meet if you are hungry though.

I passed this info on to a buddy of mine from back home in PA, who lives in Dover now. Not sure if he is going to make it or not, but he has a newer Mustang Boss that is grabber blue. Also gave him the link to the forums, so hopefully he can make it out and start posting here.

Won't be coming out tomorrow night (have to work), but next Thursday I'll be coming out.

How much longer do you think this will be going on now its starting to get cooler out?

Had about 20-25 cars out last night. It would be great to get more of you out before the weather turns.

Decent early turnout. Some left when rain started, most moved to one of the entrances of the old mall and hung out there. I bailed early because I had my two little guys and my youngest was getting scared of the thunder.

In other news, the Firestone (in this same parking lot) is having a car show on Saturday the 21st if anyone is interested. Should be a lot of classic and muscle cars there as well as imports. My club will be out too.

I retract my previous statement. Blue Hen is good to go for this coming Thursday. From what I understand, the only reason the cops broke up the last meet was due to the road construction. I heard other rumors that prompted my previous comment, but it turns out that was all a load of B.S.

Well, NASCAR took over the lot but most found there way across the street. Regular spot next week.

I'm uploading the video I took while sitting at the traffic light of all the trucks going down the road while I was stuck at the light.

I can't believe you guys tried doing a meet a couple days before a Nascar race. That place is a mad house that I will be avoiding at all costs the entire weekend.

I didn't know NASCAR was going to be in town. If I had known that, I would have left earlier to get there lol.

Where we meet is on the outskirts of town anyway, for us locals it's no big thing. But we had no idea they were going to do a parade out of our usual vacant lot.

Some of us heading to this meet are currently planning a food cruise. Right now I think Stewart's Brewing Company in Bear, DE is on the table for now. If anything changes I'll let you know.

I don't think I'm going to be able to make it out tomorrow now. I got charged twice for my car insurance bill (long story) and it left me broke as **** until next payday.

Just so anyone who is interested knows, a group of us are still meeting at the BWW location at 6 on Thursdays. Not a huge turn out, but we still meet up for a little, usually head out somewhere else from there. Billiards, food, mall... Whatever.

I might come out, depending on what I'm doing.
