I talked to the guys boy when I was at Atco and they were a bunch of ****y ****s.
I was asking this kid in a black Evo what he had done and he was ****y as ****, he goes hardly anything and rambled off tons of ****. He went 12.3 FULLY gutted with race gas in the trunk. He asked what I ran I said 11.98 full weight on only 15.5PSI. He buddy goes you should race the S4, im liek it goes 11.1 in a fully stripped race car...what an ass. My brothers sisters aunts mom has a faster car than you.... :roll: |

Dude with the camera who was with the s4 and evo were cool to me. Maybe they don't like 4 door sunfires greg :wink: ...hahaha. When I went 12.26 I lined up against the no interior evo. Think he went 12.7 not sure of his mods. Nice run either way.

i believe he was running mid 11's at this point, or it also could be a different s4 i dunno. im pretty sure the guy i talked to was from ny. |
yeah they were dumbasses......the car did go a 10.9 that day though.........stock bottom end. word in the s4 community is that s4 is spraying of coarse the guy denies it......

Despite the weight reduction, this car is still used as my daily driver. I've driven it in its current form to and from Philly, Ocean City, and FL. Since it still runs a factory ECU (no engine management whatsoever), it offers great driveability with no quirks and gets a true 30MPG on the highway if you take it easy in 6th gear. It's far from a single purpose drag car in that it also turns and brakes too. I always drive the car to Atco and have never trailered it to the track. In fact, the car has not been on a trailer once since I've owned it. While it may be considered a race car to some, it's not a race car to me. I've had dozens of street races with it, some of which were for well over $1,000 a race. You could make the argument that it's a race car which I'm crazy enough for driving on the street, but it's still a street car to me. BTW, there are still several hundred pounds left to be taken out... Every panel on the car except the hood and trunklid is still steel. The windshield, back light, and all side windows are still OEM glass. It still has ABS, power door locks, power brakes, power steering, and a full factory wiring harness which is extremely heavy. By the end of the year, I'm hoping to have another 200lbs out of this car. |
