They want to do a feature ad and are looking for some good high res photos, And I don't know dick about photography. So is anyone here interested?

The editor called me up. They want me to send in 1024 x 768 high res photos. So I am am looking for someone who wants to shoot it and spend a little time doing so. Might be a good way to get your photos and my car out there. I'll check the links and let you guys know.

Please do. I am currently using a Nikon d60 dslr camera and I have three lenses. 12mp and all the goodies. Also multiple editing programs to retouch and create some great shots! Plus the work would look great on my resume and in my personal portfolio.

Is this an ASAP kind of thing?

Looking to do this next week sometime, I am waiting on the editor to call me back about full details. If its not for a print issue, then I am not giving them anything. I want to beat the cold and need to do some work to the car so the sooner the better.

Sorry, I meant is the magazine paying for the shoot... if its a feature they should be. If its something less then maybe not. I wouldn't ask the car owner to pay for magazine stuff!
I will be out of town next week so I'm probably not in the running but as you can see there are a lot of great photographers on here to choose from.

(Photographers: if this is a feature then DO NOT DO IT FOR FREE! In fact with Import Tuner especially, don't even send them high resolution photos unless you have it in writing what they are paying you. God help you, you've been warned.)

Waiting on answers. I only would do a feature print ad, perhaps Monday I will have the call back.

If you are being "featured" they will assign a photog to you to shoot usually.

Is it safe to send them watermarked photos at least? just curious..

Are they looking for cars to shoot? Or actual photographers?

Sorry to threadjack but I never noticed that my face was visible in that evo pic. Now I have to go home and see if I can see myself in the magazine spread :D
