Straight from Barfoot, Chuck custom makes them so you need to order directly from him.

To me that guys an idiot with a over powered lightweight car with no wheelie bars, and guess what that mr2 would have wooped his ass and still did a wheel all over his face because mr chevette would be sitting on his roof.

Dam dude relax, I wasn't saying anything about who would win in a race, although if that Chevette had wheelie bars I'll bet that he would stomp the piss out of that mr2, bigger motors = faster cars plain and simple.

I know I was just kidding lol. But bigger motors mean **** if the car dosent make it down the track straight. Ive seen it all to many times.

Ciotti 07-15-2009 09:44 PM

Very true, but that's where the fun/skill begins if you have that much money dumped into your car :) Personally I'll stick with spending a little bit of money but making up for it by turning the steering wheel a lot

Thats why I have a Evo MR lol.

Alex buddy ol pal, hows the Galant working fixing thingamabobing doing.

Bigger motors do not mean faster cars. Way too many variables. I will say that there is no replacement for displacement. Sink 15k in a 4cyl motor. Sink the same 15k in a V8 and the V8 will win every time.

That my friend would be a sweet challenge.

yo carver and brian saw this video the other night

I think sinking 15K into a DSM shouldnt count. that would prolly be the main platform that would disprove that theory, granted ur sinking 15K with someone who knows what they are doing and what parts work

I bet I could do a 9.0 dsm for less then 15k or about, and still be able to drive it to the shore on the weekends lol. That would be a awesome challenge. A magazine should do that, but im sure they wont do something that could acually maybe prove the fact. Probably be a Subaru, or a 240 (no offence)

yea its my car, its a 4 point bolt in autopower cage. The cage is coming out tonight though and getting powdercoated laguna seca blue to match the car and probably wont be going back in for 2-3 weeks. The car is going to Shades Of Grey next week for a custom clear bra and im tinting the car darker. Alot darker so you cant see the cage. probaly 5% on the rear windows and 15% on my front 2 windows.

ricer.

dude all u need with a dsm is

dsmlink: 700
clutch: 800
trans: 2000
built engine: 3000ish for something sick
turbo set up: 1500
other odds and ends (intercooler, fuel, gauges, exhaust): 2000 if u buy top of the line ****
suspension: 800
oh and then you need a dsm shell: 1000 for something nice

thats puts you at about 12,000
im sure on a lot of things you could go cheaper and more expensive on other things, either way I can honestly see a 9 second DSM happening for under 10grand for somebody that would wait and buy used **** when they can.. buying a 400 dollar shell then picking up AEM instead of link etc etc.

catbed 07-16-2009 12:05 AM

so my friend told me that some of our friends from row 9 got into an accident on route 38. it included 6 cars and he said there was **** everywhere.

PS. row 9 means Race Inspired Cosmetically Enhanced civics.

blackvr4 07-16-2009 12:11 AM

wow man, idiots.

///chrism3 07-16-2009 12:15 AM
