Claytons in Horsham will also have a range up and running some time this summer.

8 lanes, rifles allowed. Finally a close range!

they have been building their range for 8 years! i like claytons, but it seems like all the cool guys that used to work there are gone! i have no issue driving 25 min to CP (especially since i just became a member haha)

the only thing that sucks about CP for me is that it's an hour and 15 min away. lol. it would be almost 7 before i could get there on a weekday. i really wish there was something better closer to me. we just have shimerville and french creek outfitters  one's a sh*thole and the other is run by ass holes.

ITSTOCK - that 238 looks awesome! i found one up at cabelas a few weeks ago and i couldn't put it down! for suck a little thing it sure does feel like a typical sig... very solid and smooth.

cmr076 04-25-2010 03:50 PM

^ now that im a member at CP, SUPPOSEDLY i get preference with range time so if you want to shoot on a weekend and make the trip down i can call ahead and tell them to hold a lane (not sure if they really do that but they said they do when they sold me the membership)

i dont carry, and if i did i prob wouldnt carry an extra mag.... my glock19 is the most practical "carry gun i have" and 16 rd's should be enough (i would hope) unless the zombies attack, then i have the "bug out bag" which is an entirely different story!

i got it at an army/navy store (which seems to be all emo paintballers now ) it was 50-60ish.

::edit:: m4... money pit... have you priced out acogs?!?!? im in that process... now THAT is a money pit!!!! go to an army navy store they have a great selection of soft bags with external mag pouches!

i always carry an extra mag... always. front left pocket, next to the cell phone. both are on the left (support) side so that i can keep the weapon in my hand while calling 911 and then tac reloading. i practice reloads from the pocket every time i go to the range. this is THE best piece of info i picked up from the guys on PAFOA.

carrying an extra mag isn't all about the extra rounds. think about it... how do you deal with a series of FTF (failure to feed) jams if you have no extra magazine? even after one or more FTE (failure to eject) jams, you're down by at least a few rounds after you clear it enough to get back into the fight. you can 'prove' your carry ammo all you want by shooting thousands of perfectly fed rounds, but when you're in a life/death situation you can bet that murphey's law will come into play.

2 is 1, 1 is none

it's not about ammo capacity it's the fact that the gun is a paperweight is something happens to the one mag

mag spring breaks, mag floor plate breaks etc
