BrandonW 07-02-2009 09:16 PM

anyone know of someone that can do ceramic coating? locally, like as close to turnersville as possible

njsharkracer 07-02-2009 10:18 PM

Sorry brandon I have no clue who can do ceramic coating. The only place I could think might do it is Liquid Powder Coats right over in PA but you'd have to call and find out.

On Another note, is anyone interested in going to ATCO tomorrow?

My only reason for wanting to learn to "drift" is just to learn another level of car control. I figure if I can go out in the wet and start to learn, then transfer to a dry environment, it will help me learn car control. A lot of people can drive fast but if I want to drive at the limit I need to know what to do in case I overstep it, and I'd rather learn for free in a parking lot rather than go to an autocross and fly around knocking over cones. If I can get used to the feeling of being out of control and knowing what to do to recover from a slide it will make me both a better driver on the track and on the street if I ever run into the situation (I plainly lost control of my car when I was dodging the SUV and met a curb, and that shouldn't have happened, it was lack of experience and I panicked when I got sideways dodging the thing).

Basically trying to learn how to be sideways first, then move from there to smooth recoveries under loss of traction....I know I know, Skip Barber and the likes can teach me that, unfortunately I don't have the money to put out for them.

I'll saddle up, the saturn has seen some driftito action some pine barrens backroad rallying, but it serves the purpose as my DD so basically, you cant have your cake and eat it to:( but we should get some fwd people to slide one day, and hit up some spots!

how many tires are you gonna go through? where are you getting all these tires

MattGTO 07-03-2009 12:02 PM

lol i used to work at a tires plus so when they see a nice set of scraps come through they set them aside for me. that's how i have a leaning tower of 245/45/17's in my garage =P but i have some real ****ty generic tires i wanna burn up.

basically my tires are scraps. but only back tires and i only take nice scrap tires. when we went to jetro i had an awesome set of Toyo Proxe4s. ive also got some BFG's in my garage and some bridgestones, and a really nice set of sumitiomo HTR Z III. but i want these generics OUT! so they are gonna be gone either today or tomorrow =]

njsharkracer 07-03-2009 12:04 PM

i'm painting my back rims today.
