Does anybody on here know how to mount sights or have a sight pusher that I can borrow for about 10 minutes?

Problem is, it's not a simple task. You'll never get the XD sights to move yourself unless you have EXTENSIVE sight installation experience and some specialized tools. These things are way harder to replace than say, sigs or glock sights. A standard sight pusher won't even budge these things.

That's why when I finally get around to purchasing aftermarket sights for my XD I'm sending the slide into springer precision - they install the sights free if you purchase from them.

Ask around on pafoa.org. I'm sure someone there will be able to help you out for a reasonable price.

Just did and I found a guy who will do it for $10 if I bring my own ammo to test the sight alignment myself at his range.

finally got her and i am not disappointed! I didnt get a chance to put any rounds through her but the overall quality seems great (although 90% of the gun seems to be plastic) the ammo seems really dirty and the mag seems hard to load (double stack though, so 20rd's.... cant complain i guess)

It was the perfect day for a new gun purchase. It's not really the gun I wanted to buy next, but it serves a purpose so it was a must buy item.

It feels REAAAAAL nice. I will have to see how it shoots now. My overall impression is the trigger is incredible for such a small gun, the quality is top notch as expected, and it's got a real smooth action. I didn't get an incredible deal on it, but after the other deals I have got at the shop I can't complain. After looking online, I paid the going price it seems.

And next to a couple others for size reference, 1911 and my other carry gun, G26.

And the Five-Seven truly is a badass gun! Congrats on finally getting it.

cmr076 04-25-2010 01:32 PM

its a wittle baby! why did you want something so small out of curiosity?

Even the G26 is a bit hefty for summer carry. I just wanted something smaller for shorts weather.
