Also how do you get tuned for 93 and for 100 octane in the same session? Do I just bring a big gas can with 100 octane? Since there's a Sunoco near me that sells 100 it'd be nice to be able to hop down there and get 30 more whp (for $8.50 a gallon)

idk man

you would need an extra fuel cell just for 100 octane unless you wanna run the tank dry on 93 then dump 100 in but you'd have to run 100 octane constantly unless your running the AP

CHAOS 09-29-2007 09:25 AM

ive come up with apossible alternative to selling the car... but im not sure it will work out the best

CHAOS 09-29-2007 09:27 AM

your gas tank rarely goes completely dry btw...

and kiel that would end up being a mix of fuel... with the UTEC thats easy to do 2 maps but like ryan said... youd have to use up or drain full to get a straigh 100 octane map.

what

no I wouldn't

I have a UTEC and a remote selector switch, I could run whatever I fill up and press a button and BOOM I'm mapped for it

jealous?

I guess before a track day or dyno something or other I could run my tank low with 93, then fill it halfway with 100, run it down AGAIN, and then refill with 100, that should dilute it out pretty good.

Also what's the alternative plan, Jon?

CHAOS 09-29-2007 09:31 AM

ok so heres what im thinking

use the small loan i was offered to completely knock out one card, that would give me some left over money. use that money on the next PITA card, and knock that down a bit... then to add to that, sell my suspension and other misc parts that wont completely bitch the car out... and hopefully take that card down to next to nothing... then whore myself out for more details and things of that nature...

That's a decent idea - I took out a personal loan and paid off three of my credit cards with it (though I ran the balance up on one of them again with car parts and fancy hotel reservations) but getting out of debt >>> having a modded car, I think if you sold a lot of the stuff on your car and went back to stock you'd be pretty happy still with the car and you'd make back a fair amount. But oh my god if you do pay off a credit card with it CUT THE CARD UP so you don't just go out and buy more **** - it's exactly what I did.

JUST DON'T CLOSE ANY ACCOUNTS EVEN IF THEY HAVE ZERO BALANCE

why dont close the account?

im going to cut up the cards i pay off... with the exception of 1.... that ill keep for emergencies...

i think the stuff that i can safely say will come off the car is the following

- syms wing
- gold wheels & re01r's
- Ohlins/RCE w/ camber bolts
- group-n tops
- maybe my whiteline sways (still iffy about taking them off)
- broken vlimited

parts on the maybe list
- genome exhaust
- stealthback
- tune
- gauges
- rain visors
- jdm fogs

Keeping a card open = helps your credit score, length of credit history, overall balance of accounts. Basically just pay a card you don't want to zero, make sure after a month of two the statement stays at zero, and then sort of forget about it. It's really best to use the card like once a month to buy a tank of gas and then pay it back to zero again. I used to do debt collection and I am sort of really anal about credit so if you want to talk about this stuff in person sometime I'd be glad to help - but yeah do NOT close any accounts. It will only hurt you in the long run.

its true higher octane fuels will separate with lower octane fuels

go to the liquer store and grab a 40 of old english

drink the old english
now go get gas at the gas station and put 87 and 93 in the same bottle they will separate

the higher the octane the lighter the fluid is

lower octane fuels are far more viscous than say 100 octane

CHAOS 09-29-2007 09:50 AM

prove that... i dont believe you.

Taking the loan will hurt slightly at first but yes over time will help your credit. Basically credit favors length of history which basically means the longer you keep accounts OPEN and active the better your score.

CHAOS 09-29-2007 09:59 AM

right so being that it would be a 3 or 5 year loan ill be fine.
