K heres what well do. james me and u are in charge of bringing the trash to the dumpster. Tom does trash bags. I think we can just use the lamp posts as the trash centers. We can use bricks to hold the bag to the posts. Yeah its ghetto but we dont have to worry abou cans

Good idea on the signs. As I left last night, a guy in a GTO punded thru his gears towards 73. As I was turning around at the light by Chick-Fil-A, a cop pulled out of Circuit City who must have heard him. The cop had to make a right (due to the island) but I saw him do it rather quickly and before I could turn around he had already made a u-turn and was in pursuit. I had to go that way to see what happened. The GTO was pulled over on 73 right by the diner near DeSimone Caddy.

Some of the Vette guys I'm friends with said there were also bike cops sitting around as spotters waiting for someone to do something stupid.

"Ouch. Sorry to see it was a forum member that got yanked.

But cmon guys, we ask everyone to drive responsibly in the lot and on Nixon for a reason."

cobalts response
"Nahh man we were being responsible just blowing off some steam..thats why we got careless driving and not racing on a highway/speeding/reckless...only reason i went in was cuz i had a warrant out 4 me."

ssspeed 08-20-2008 12:39 PM

yeah the bike cops were cool just came up towards the end of the night saying, that we should just try to stop the idiots from doing stupid **** and that they really don't wanna kick us out but if it keeps going on they're going to have to. oh and they wanted to know where all the"broads" were at haha

Yeah thats what my buddies said too. We had a chick cop come up to us on the first night that us Vetters showed up and she was real cool too. Not to mention, from what I could see, damn hot as well. Was tempted to do a burnout just at a chance of getting frisked......jk

ha ha....wishful thinking on my part.

Unfortunately my Vette is out of commission for now. I'll swing by the meets, but unfortunately in my CTS...which is just not the same.

blackvr4 08-20-2008 01:21 PM

rwd cts? if so i envy you hardcore!

cjlaw73 08-20-2008 01:21 PM

From a buddy of mine on Corvette Forum:

Yep. The Bike LEOs were spotters. They busted alot of cars last night. He asked what was going on in the parking lot, and had LOTS of complaints about the IDIOTS racing up and down the road there infront of the store. He again stated that Mt Laurel PD doesnt have a problem with the hangout, but if the racing, burnouts, and LOUD music doesnt stop, we will be kicked out. Mr LEO wanted me to spread the word to chill out or be kicked out.

Its not a V. Its a 3.6L V6 - not bad - I think its 250 hsp at the crank. But when you are used to a Vette.....its just not the same.

Thanks for the comment though.

but who wants/has room for 3 or 4 trash cans in their car? or even just one? i wouldn't mind keeping a brick in my car, but a trash can...not so much

i think the signs are the next thing we should worry about...hopefully it'll cut down on idiocy and it'll show the cops that we genuinely are making an effort to eliminate it

This right here shows that signs and trashcans are a MUST for next week. Unless we want to lose this perfect spot. How often do you come across a police dept that allows you to have a weekly car meet in a public lot? Especially 100+ strong.

We need some leaders to really step up and start spreading the word that this immature behavior will not be tolerated from here on out.

landshark 08-20-2008 03:52 PM

if anything they should know that the cops are being cool and letting us come there. so u do one stupid thing like doge2chevy did that i say u lost ur chance and are not welcome back. if we let him in again who is to say he won't be a douch and do it again. it would suck to see this great meet gathering, thats come from a small crappy lit ALDI parking lot to a huge turn out of all different makes of cars.

JerseyTuscani 08-20-2008 06:38 PM

Well im def one to say sumthin. As everyone knows. But signs are a must
