jpalamar 12-29-2011 12:59 PM

Big_Jim 12-29-2011 01:01 PM

ladyfriend is bringing me china food for lunch, and im getting Pho for dinner with oakes.

jpalamar 12-29-2011 01:09 PM

Nice. I think I'm going to hit the butcher and do another smoked chicken with a sweet BBQ sauce topped with some brown sugar.

HickRocket1258 12-29-2011 01:35 PM

Grimm that's not as bad as my story bud. I'm still waiting on my Welds from this one guy in NC, but it hasn't been any of his fault at all.

First try with UPS, I wait about 1.5 months for the wheels, maybe a little longer. UPS supposedly never found my address and sent it back to his address back in NC. Dude was awesome and straight up and gave me my money back.

Next time around, we tried Fedex, and he sent them out around Halloween. Well I'm still waiting for them. He returned some of my money to me and I told him to hold onto the rest for now. We find out the other day that on Nov 28, they were at a Fedex about 3 hours away. How the **** can two big name packaging services **** this up soooooo bad.

The guy has been real nice and straight up and I'm lucky it's not with some dick head.

grimm 12-29-2011 02:31 PM

The one person is cool. but the other guy that didn't even ship it yet is an immature little brat. His replies to my emails are in all caps, if he replies. Why you mad kid you got my money, i'm just asking if you could ship it out promptly since you sat on it a week already. His last email said he wasn't going to ship it because he feels i will give him poor feedback so he will refund my money when he gets to it. Complete BS!

Rob,
If he shipped them via Fed-Ex Freight, they might not be able to deliver to a home? but wow! your super patient. I would have been all over fed-ex.

Wow... I would leave him horrible feedback anyway.

grimm 12-29-2011 02:53 PM

I just did. I would rather him cancel the transaction and refund my money at this point. I paid thru paypal and started a dispute against him. We'll see, should be a fun show.

jpalamar 12-29-2011 02:57 PM

Yep. Def better to just get your money. PayPal disputes are weird. All they do is lock the guys account and give the money back to you if he hasn't taken it out yet. If he has, they just lock it. Doesn't really help the consumer very much. I filed a dispute from an eBay thing years ago... guess the guy finally needed his account back and paid me back LOL

grimm 12-29-2011 03:08 PM

yea no one really protects the consumer.

Grimm I'm a very patient person. As long as one of us gets the wheels at this point, I'll be happy. We will just see where the money goes.

OMGz Turbo 12-29-2011 09:56 PM

Good Friday to you all! I'm stuck at work, but the day started out great. Won't go into details... but let's just say coffee is not needed this morning thanks to a highway, a TL-S, and taking the long way to work. :)

jpalamar 12-30-2011 09:38 AM

DPancoast 12-31-2011 10:23 AM

I work Monday. Just another weekend if you ask me. Only difference is a little more drinking and more friends.

Big_Jim 12-31-2011 02:47 PM

Im working monday as well. Have to take some time off this week to take care of some things though.

sleeper15 12-31-2011 02:53 PM

Well, since the weather is nice, decided to take the Mugen out to clean it up.

and 2 things happened

1. going to the wash, a "racetruck" aka diesel truck driving by a douche (don't mind diesel trucks, but when they are drivin by idiots, they are labeled "racetrucks"), deiced to get right on my ass, and kept pumping his gas pedel, trying to look like he was going to run over me, and as i made a left turn, he also deiceded to floor it, and blow black smoke everywhere, not only getting my car covered in black smoke, but the other patrons at the car wash today

2. as i was washing my car, 2 teenagers in a slammed VW with something rusted on it, slowed down by the wash, rolled down the their window and yelled out "Fcking ricer!", and then speed off.

the hate magnet in the mugen is still working strong,

DPancoast 01-01-2012 02:32 AM

Finally changed the oil and coolant in the teg after reassembly from replacing rings, bearings, and some other stuff.

Runs silky smooth. Can't wait to drive it tomorrow in the nice weather.

jpalamar 01-03-2012 09:01 AM

4 days of work this week and then I'm on vaca all next week. Hopefully it goes quickly. Today seems like it will be a decent day. Not a ton of work but enough to keep my busy if I pace myself.

Julie and I drove to DE to get some Grotto pizza yesterday. Swung by a cool wine store while down there and got 2 new bottles as well as 2 bottles we liked from last time. The one is a Moscato D'Asti(very sweet white) and the other is a really good pink(when I popped the bottle open it smelled like strawberrys and when you actually tasted it you could taste watermelon).

sleeper15 01-03-2012 09:10 AM

Wow, just had one of those take a **** and your pants fit better moments

jpalamar 01-03-2012 09:23 AM

Atleast it wasn't one of those ****s where you feel so dirty afterwards you have to shower.

accordguy04 01-03-2012 09:42 AM

First day back on a four day work week, 36 min in and I already don't wanna be here... **** this place, I hate my job.

I think im taking Thursday off and going up to Hunter, I need to get back on the board and clear my head. Dad's knees been acting up tho... so if he bails just Blue but it'll be good enough.

Big_Jim 01-03-2012 10:00 AM

I am taking thursday and friday off this week. Need to take care of some things, and that will give me the time to do it.... plus I really need to burn some vacation time lol.

HickRocket1258 01-03-2012 10:08 AM

I need to start finding another job as well. I think I might have a way in at my part time maybe. Anyways, time to save up my pto for the year haha.

Trying to find the right colors for the walls in my kitchen are a bitch because it's open into the family room area. Basically one big room.

jpalamar 01-03-2012 11:48 AM

Watching TMNT on HBO Go.

I also drunk made a crock pot roast beef last night. It marinaded all night in the fridge and is cooking today. Can't wait to come home to the smell of red meat, celery, carrot, potato, and garlic cloves.

Ender81 01-03-2012 12:11 PM

Crock pot....meh lol. You need yourself a pressure cooker sir.

That crock pot is so air tight it basically is a pressure cooker. We have to cook using the 'serve' setting because low gets way to hot. I hate the damn thing.

jesse096 01-03-2012 12:17 PM

First day off since Christmas, I slept for like 16 hours haha, felt so good!

I kid because I am anti crock pots. I rock a dutch oven and coming soon a pressure cooker. Just having trouble finding one with the adjustable pressure settings that I want. But yeah if you get your hands on one it's a quarter the time of a crock pot with better results.

Big_Jim 01-03-2012 01:28 PM

man, the pressure cooker is an awesome invention.

One of my favorite places to get wings is Byrnes Tavern because they pressure cook the wings.

grimm 01-03-2012 01:38 PM

i've never gotten great results in a crock pot. but i've had stuff other have made and it's fantastic. i personally don't mind the time of a crock pot because i can leave it all day and come home to a nice hot meal. i will have to try a pressure cooker.

jpalamar 01-03-2012 01:57 PM

I've done good pulled pork in a crock before... never really had anything that I made come out perfect though. It is more of a its quick and easy kinda thing.

grimm 01-03-2012 02:25 PM

yea i can see pulled pork coming out pretty good. only thing i loved from mine was a pot of chili i made in it. everything else always had this nasty oily taste.

Big_Jim 01-03-2012 02:27 PM

my neighbors wife made chili in the crock pot for one eagles game. it was fan-****ing-tastic.

I had wild mushroom bisque for lunch, it was pretty damn good.
