the single turbo i'm doing is a kit from driftmotion that basically bolts on to the stock twin manifold to route it to a CT26 which comes factory on the 7M-GTE motors, and my friend is willing to sell me his full setup for cheap because he's going with a bigger turbo

it's nothing special...good for maybe 300whp on a good day, but it's better than getting replacement twins that may blow at any time

I see what you're getting at now. In your earlier post your plans seemed a bit more extravagant. I'm guessing you're taking out a loan for what, 3-5k? That won't be too bad then. I'd suggest allotting some of that money to replacing all of your bushings too. That's where a lot of your suspension slop is coming from.

Or you could always buy a 240 shell and put the 1jz in that. Just a thought ;)

i was looking at the possibility of going a 57 trim CT26, but right now it's up in the air...i still have to get the car before i can do anything

although the coilovers i'm tempted to just order some stance GR+'s right now but like i said, i'm going to have to wait until i get another supra

Good guess. I'm getting a $4k loan which will cover the car, single turbo, and other random parts for the turbo. I have enough in my bank account to buy coilovers and still have some extra money just in case. I know my lifetime goal for this car was around 600whp but I'm not going there just yet.

As far as the 1jz 240, I was seriously considering it but I think the 240 is going to be the next civic. Stolen all the time.

No coilovers james! Your car looks fast as **** all over the road when you launch, lol

what they charge. the last place i went qouted me 3 grand for a flat black paint job.

blackvr4 06-08-2009 01:33 AM

i went to michaels autobody and their paint has been hit or miss, on my Vr-4 they painted the front bumper twice and it peeled in the same exact spot twice :(

they also painted my rear bumper and rear quarter panel at another time, and that has been perfect. just a thought

if i wanted to keep my car black it would have been 700 but the white was 900 and the doors were an extra 200 because i didnt prep them and they took them off , i think they must have meant 3 dollars for the flat black spray can? lol jk jk

So I picked up a turbo mr2 on Saturday that has a reconstructed title, I went to the mt.holly DMV today to try and register it and they said because it was reconstructed I have to register it in Trenton, do I need to bring anything special because of r title?
