we had two christmas parties at bars... we're not getting **** this year... 100% nothing save for the crappy little company party in the building... which sucks... and is pretty much for people to bring their kids in

i found out a few weeks ago... that i have 3 days of vacation left for the year. it renews on the 1st of the year and if i dont use it, i dont get anything for it. That being the case, i decide what the hell, ill take off around christmas. So i take a look at the calendar and see that only one person from my shift/days is off... so i put in for the days. 24th, 26th and 27th. That would give me a 6 day break from work, which would be incredible.

Tuesday, i asked my boss if he had approved the time off. He said he didnt see the email and went to look. He comes back and says he's not sure if i can have off. I said why not, theres only one person off, we should be fine. He says if i can find someone to replace me, i can have off, but otherwise it doesnt look like it can happen.

I send out an email to the department asking for someone to work for me. Zero response.. pretty much expected.

I find it very unfair to me that i basically cant have a friday and saturday off this time of year because of my tenure here. Basically my coworkers are apparently too new and cant be here alone. I talked to the Senior Director about it this morning, he basically told me if it were any other time of year it wouldnt be a problem and that i shoudve put in for it even earlier. Im ****ing mad.
