I know a local guy who rebuilds them. PM me if you want more details. He owns a small DSM business doing mostly custom welding but he does do transmission and transfer case rebuilds.

ok thx guys. and mmm dogbox. im decently close to them as well.

kthackst does the welder do aluminum work? I have a heat exchanger on my focus that needs the coolant fittings moved to the sides.

Oh yeah aluminum is his specialty. He does custom intercoolers, radiators, catch cans, really anything with aluminum is easy for him. Steel and stainless is just as simple for him. He has done numerous welded items for my car. IC pipings, meth fittings and he is making my top mount manifold with small tucked radiator for my car too. If his IC is holding up on a 45+psi 1000+hp car I will trust him to do my stuff. Since he has a small shop he isnt that expensive either.

The only issue with being friends with him is every time I see him do something cool I then decide I need it in my car. Its a disease...

lol. nice i will have to check with him then. im using an 03 cobra H/E for now. ****, if he can make me one custom sized that'd be bad ass. my stock one was killed in my accident.

thx bro. when i sell my DD I will have cash for lots of fix-up projects i need to finish.

Just sold this one today :(

$4,900. NEEDED: Sideskirt re-installed.

Had:

New evoIII 16g
walbro 255lph fuel pump
ams fmic kit
greddy type-rs bov
3" turbo-back exhaust
enkei wheels
Full size rim brand new with brand new spare tire
k&n open filter kit
aem big rotor kit up front
cross drilled/slotted rear rotors

Gave him a full tank of 94 oct, Paid for tax/title/tags and all his traveling fuel to pick it up (3+ hr drive each way, Came once to look at it, And today to pick it up).
66k original miles on the car itself.

Ran 100% flawless, ZERO signs of any rust. Body was 100% straight (Not sure why it looks different shades in the picture, But the body was mint!

Going to miss it being it was one of the very few dsms I see with zero rust issues, And runs 100%.

Anybody want to come finish my car? I have everything needed but don't have a garage and between work and family I really don't have time to finish it even though it's just little stuff. I'm about to deploy again and don't want to leave it the way it is right now.

What needs to be done:
replace rear calipers and ebrake cables
install vacuum lines and distribution block
fuel pump rewire
hook up GM Map sensor to SD and AEM 5 bar to AEM TruBoost
fix radiator fan(it's caught on something)
TUNE!

knochgoon24 12-18-2011 03:19 PM

If you were closer, I'd be all for taking a Saturday and knocking that all out.

I'd wait for KP myself, especially since he already tried helping you out a month back.
