well, nitrix makes my entire body itch.. i'm ditching that stuff.

SupraJDS 04-16-2007 05:19 PM

I just bought some equaline because I wanna build up some....Would this be a good choice? If so when should I take it? before or after I work out?

or should I just return it and get whey?

Tiny 04-16-2007 08:11 PM

I am down 20lbs, but I still have about 30 more to go until i'm happy. That will put me about 270. Just shakes and about 3000 calories a day.

Here is 17" of fatty arm.

So ive been taking whey, 4.8 grams of creatine per day in powder form (too much or not enough do you think?), and the Pump Tech...I am not seing many gains as I cant stay consistent with my damn diet and workouts. Every day I find myself reaching for a twix bar, and then having to hold myself back.

BTW Tiny, you are huge lol

whitezenki 04-17-2007 01:03 AM

dude you been lifting for a week, of course you havent seen any gains... and pumptech has creatine in it i think, so i dont think you should be taking the pills as well, sounds to me like you have no idea what your putting in your body, which is pretty stupid it seems to me

dymatize xpand, ON Whey everyday, gained like 5 or so lbs in a month, not regretting a second of it

So i got a real scare from my itching, maybe I am still scared.. actually i am horrified. I said my entire body was itching, well I had absoluty no rash. Well being the information seeker I am I looking up some possible causes on the intranetweb. Although there were about 20 reasons why I itch one of them was Pending kidney failure. I made myself sick all day yesterday thinking about it. One month on no xplode and im dying??? Needless to say the doctor said you will be feeling alot more pain if your kidneys were on their way out. He still took blood and told me to start taking antihistamins(SP) and sent me home feeling somewhat, if not at all better. I went home and sat on my couch thinking about it all night.

I quit smoking and lifted a lot my senior year. Only supplement I used was creatine for 2 months while my body got used to the lifting. I gained 30lbs of muscle(maybe not all but it sure looked like it) my senior year. Started the year weighing around 180, left weighing 210. I lost some muscle and weight since then. That was also 9 years ago, I weigh about 190ish now. Still lift occasionally, do most of it at work, its how I stay in shape.

i really need to get back into lifting... im looking to weigh about 240 and be stacked... right now im at 280 and fat... granted i have 16" arms... and big thighs... but i dont like the fat... at all.. i feel like ****... i really liked taking the whey protien shakes... helped recovery time quite a bit.. my main concern tho is getting healthier and gain more endurance/stamina

One thing I learned from my goofy coworkers is never diagnose yourself. Let the pros do it. They were always coming down with some rare disease that they found on the internet. I don't think it helped that they were a bunch of hypos either.

words of wisdom, i got my blood work back. Two of my liver counts were horribly high. Doctor said STOP IT ALL.. it started when I took the nitrix. I do not drink that often either, nor do I have any version of hepititus. I had work done last year for my yearly PHA, they were normal as well.

I followed directions, drank required amounts of water + some..

Now its back to normal working out and more blood work + possible medication for life.

I just got Mass tech....hope to see some improvements

But was this a predisposition to have a problem or was it only caused by the supplements?

I've always stayed away from the heavy stuff anyway, so i'm not too worried.

man that **** scares me, hope everything is alright, keep us informed if you're can

JoeScooby 04-18-2007 05:06 PM

I wasn't on any heavy stuff, just the no-xplode for about a month if less. The doc said it was caused by the supplements, he said to lay off of them ASAP and everything should subside. He didn't tell me to go to the ER, didn't tell me to come in to take medication ASAP, just STOP taking all that junk and let your body clean it self out. If a doc tells me not to go to the hospital/ER or to get meds to lower the levels then I am not worried. Actually I am petrified.

JoeScooby 04-27-2007 08:32 AM

Update on this mess.

Got my blood tested a second time this Monday, doc called back with results on wednesday. The enzyme levels have dropped almost back to normal, the first doctor should of told me to go to the ER, and she was suprised all I had was an itch. Long story short my body does not like creatine, and I now need to contact my doctor when ever I take anything that states "If you have had or have liver problems consult with your doctor"

At least my liver is healthy again.

This is a warning to all.

whitezenki 04-28-2007 09:38 PM

Glad to hear your healthy again, this story makes me kind of nervous.

How long were you taking it before you started to itch? I think I'm gonna finish my current supply then take a few weeks off, maybe I'll run into you at McGuire sometime, except you only go in the early AM right?

JoeScooby 04-29-2007 08:26 PM

Yessir. I'm there about 6:00 to 7:00 on Monday and Friday, 6:00 to 7:30 T,W,T.

It took me about 6 weeks to start itching, and it started 3 days after adding Nitrix to my stack. I have to go back for 2 more blood tests, one to make sure it is back to normal and then one more to make sure it stays that way.

I was trolling around some health forums and apparently that is normal for your liver to do that and some of those crazy muscle men really do not care that their liver enzymes are spiked. Well, that ish is for the birds..

enigma 04-29-2007 09:58 PM

Stay away from any of the creatine mixes w/sugar like cell-tech, and the like.
They send you body into such an insulin spike to get the "pump" feeling, but it causes some serious liver problems down the road.
Also, those NO2 pills are junk, they may provide a little bit of help but are mostly a big waste.
Stick to 5g/creatine a day, if you want a bit more pump drink it with some natural fruit juice, it won't cause the crazy blood sugar spike, and 5g/lglutamine mixed in 1/2 hour before workout.
Hit a WHEY protein shake withing 45 mins of your workout, thats when the optimal protein absorbtion take place.
I like AST Micronized creatine, it dissolves the best in anything, and it tasteless/sugarless, and Optimum Nutrition 100% whey. Cheapest and most protein/serving.
