I would rather be happy in a diner then a shop.

Thursday meets MUST HAVE FOOD!!! I'll be feasting at the diner. If I wanted a garage party, I would have it at my place...with burgers and dogs on the grill of course.

I said there was i diner there too but whatever. I see this is the same response I got when I tried to get people out to the drift events. I'm out of these lame meets.

thats 2 posts in a row (possibly your only 2 posts at all lately) where you're being negative toward what we already have going on and talking down to us. i think the answer as to why we havent taken interest lies in your question buddy, or at least the way that you are wording it.

I fail to see how I was talking down to any in my first post. But I'll chalk that up to internet miscommunication. Even in my second post I've said that I think the meet was lame not the people there.

The meet is no longer about the cars. Lately, from what I've seen, its more about who said what, in which thread. Now, you're going away completely from the cars. I understand it's cold. Thats why I'm trying to promote a venue that can accomodate all our interests, just as I did when I set up our agreeable stay at Absolute.

I see that this opinion is not welcome here, but there's no need to get all defensive and try to call me out on here.

That being said, I'll see you guys around. I'll probably stop by the meet every once in a while. (I have been coming to them since before TST was ever even thought up.) But to me, the pub and diner was always a place to go after the meet. Not to be the meet.

*edit* If the reason for taking away the post count was so member's importance was not based on how many posts a member contributes. Why should it matter that I don't have many posts in here?

I have seen every car at every TST meet for 3 years now...I know what everyone has, I know what X exhaust and Y intake looks/sounds/feels like.

I think that if we want a meet about the cars then it should be one of Craig's Rally's! That really is about the cars. If standing in a parking lot looking at cars while we joke around and just talk to the same people every week is about the cars then I am missing the point.

I go to the Pub meets because 1) Its my night off 2) Its warm 3) decient food 4) I enjoy the company of those who attend. I have been here as long as anybody on the boards, but I still don't know everyone here. But those who I do know come to the Pub and its fun!
