If the work takes up more than an hour a day, you're still doing it wrong.
|
making money > going to school and not making money

neighbor just bought one..drove one before for a week or two, it wasn't bad, I was impressed on how much room you actually have in those lil things

I'll have my degree BA in finance in less then a month with a 3.87 gpa from a private university...i dont think that's the easy way.

this argument is making my penis soft.

ah... a BA in finance, makes sense now ;)
but seriously... an hour of work a day IS the easy way out. Of course, my only comparison is my ex and her getting her BS in Psychology, which resulted in... at least 4-5 hours a night of homework and studying. ****, i had more than an hour a night taking programming courses. |

I'm currently taking the semester off for numerous reasons. I like school but it definitely catches up with you and depending on your degree, which makes a ****ing HUGE difference, it's easier and harder which takes a bigger toll on your "enjoyment" factor. I'm an architectural engineering major, standard time for the degree is 5 years, with 4 years of "internship" after I graduate and grad school while not required, is almost a given. First day of engineering class, we went through all the different degrees in the science field, architectural engineering is said to be the second hardest of them all, biochemical being the first. If that information, and schedule alone isn't enough to kill my motivation than I don't know what is, but I'm still determined to go forward with it. Oh, and I'm also required to complete 30 credits in math courses alone....most degrees require 3-9 math credits to graduate.
|
Ill be taking courses at night for engineering.. and working during the day.. yay!
I was doing architecture... then i was like.. how about no... my drafting teacher was lame though, so who knows. |

fact of the matter is, an average of one hour a day in out of class work does not seem sufficient enough time spent studying for any field worth a damn. You're not going to be the best unless you put in the effort, you're not going to stand out amongst the crowd of tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of others graduating with the same degree. Not to mention additional work in internships and other things within your field of study that will help promote you in the eyes of potential employers. Sorry if i'm being a douche bag, but i've seen both sides of the coin between working hard while in school and hardly working while in school. College is as much about partying and enjoying life as it is growing up and taking responsibility for your own future. too many college students just expect to walk out of college and make some bank b/c they've got some piece of paper. Its just not the case when you're just another face in the crowd. |

When I say 1hr a day, i mean in general work. When i have a test or paper due, sure I'll spend 7-8 hours straight doing it. That's to be expected. |
**** Drexel, they rape you, until you bleed, and then they empty your pockets. Then they help you heal a bit, then right as the wound heals, they rip off the bandages and skull **** you.
|
Well...tell me how you really feel.
What year are you? |
I'm currently out of school for a year.. ask me 4 years ago if I saw myself being 20 and not going to school and I woulda said **** no
