Brand new in the box FN FNC converted by Mr. Higgins only 10% of the rifles imported have a fixed stock.

Unfired with original box

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1481.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1482.jpg

Since I can never leave well enough alone and stock hurts my body certain additions must be made, the FNC is a very nice rifle for some in stock form but to my liking it needed to be updated

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1480.jpg

Made a visit to Stormwerkz and picked up Joshs sight rail, stock adapter and universal folder, also picked up a M249 SAW grip from DSArms and got a Magpul UBR stock to sit on the back. Still waiting for my railed foregrip to ship.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1487.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1488.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1489.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1490.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1491.jpg

Also got a 3 round burst pack, having a "3" position on my selector and not having it functional is just not cool so that too must be remedied

If you have a FNC and want to do this addition fear not its extremely straight forward and took me about 5 minutes to install with function check

Kit comes with these 4 pieces, the burst assembly, hammer spring, burst pawl and pawl pin

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1493.jpg

Lower comes off just like an AR

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1494.jpg

Hammer goes to 12 o'clock and out from right to left

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1495.jpg

On non burst pack installed rifles there is a metal piece to keep internal dimensions where the pack would be, just slide it up and out

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1496.jpg

Hammer spring comes out and hammer pin comes out right to left then the hammer just lifts out

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1497.jpg

Hammer spring goes on

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1498.jpg

Burst pawl goes on, make sure the tip of the pawl is facing rearwards to it can contact the burst pack, if you do it backwards the pack wont fit in.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1499.jpg

Pawl pin goes through the pawl into the hammer

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1500.jpg

Reverse the order, hammer goes in alone with spring

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1501.jpg

Burst pack drops in, selector goes through left to right

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...k/IMG_1503.jpg

Making sure through all this taking apart and putting together a round didn't make its way into the chamber, do a function check. Set the selector to position 3, charge the weapon and pull and hold the trigger, cycle the bolt for "3 rounds" you will hear the sear catch on the 3rd round if you did everything correctly. If you rifle is back together smoothly to this point you have done everything right it WILL NOT fit back together it parts are in wrong.

Now its a battle rifle

how many guns do you own now? you must fantasize about **** hitting the fan with all the guns you own.

blkZ06 12-02-2009 12:32 PM

don't know never really counted, I find something I like I pick it up and put it in the safe. Having some **** go down that would warrant me needing to use my weapons for something other than shooting for fun would be bad for business, im not praying for the fall of western civilization or a zombie uprising.

den9 12-11-2009 06:29 PM

so i have the money for the glock 26, but i think i might just save some more and buy this instead

remington LTR (light tactical rifle) full float fluted barrel with a hs precision stock chambered in .308
with
a leupold mark 2 and leupold picatinny rail and rings

http://images1.opticsplanet.com/1020...cal-mounts.jpg
http://www.gunblast.com/images/Leupo...l/DSC02910.jpg

the only thing i dont like about this rifle is that its 7 1/2, im not going to be carrying it around so i would rather have it be 10-14 poundd. but its also only a 20 inch barrel, and once i put on a scope and bipod it should add a couple pounds. its sub 1 moa accuracy for 900 bucks. the say they 20 inch barrel is accurate because its stiffer and doesnt vibrate or flex as much as a 26 inch barrel.

I'm selling my Stag Arms model 1 AR-15 w/ upgrades and ammo if anyone is looking for one.

93EGY8 12-11-2009 08:52 PM

lol blkz06 do you ever run out of money???

the mike 12-11-2009 09:08 PM

I need to find a local dealer that has bipods like the one on that LTR(Harris style, attaches to the sling nubs). I just got a Remington 700 and want one, but no one local(south Jersey) has one near me. Any ideas.

And before you start, I know I can order them online.

den9 12-11-2009 09:44 PM

you can order them online.
why not? its better than driving across the state looking for one.

but lets see pictures of this thing, specs, review.

I don't put up with crap from snowmen.

I will build a bigger one at some point........but it was still fun. I shot it twice with my Remington 770, but the rounds just went right through it, but the shotgun works.

doug 12-12-2009 03:14 AM

lol.. gears of war style..

den9 12-12-2009 12:13 PM

Yeah, my buddy said to put some red Jello in a baggie or a can of tomato sauce and then wrapping the snow around it.

Next snowman victim will be colorful for sure.

I like how his eyes just kind of drop. They don't separate at all, just kind of fall forward with the exact same spacing between them the whole time.
