Lol, so you were so trashed you missed the extremely painful passing of a kidney stone? C'mon, stop making excuses.

Well the kidney stone was a few days before that. Most of the pain you experience is from the stone moving through the kidney, not out the urethra.

After it passes through the kidney, sometimes it goes right into the bladder, other times it passes through the wall of the bladder, which is what causes the "gotta go" sensation.

AGAIN... most of the pain you feel is from the stone passing through your kidney.

When the stone is large enough, there is pressure/pain when you urinate and it passes. This is not the case with all kidney stones. In my case, it was only about 2 to 3mm, so that is considered small. I felt almost nothing when I urinated, but it was EXTREMELY painful when it was moving through my kidneys a few days before the bed incident.

As I mentioned before, when the stone passes through the bladder wall, it can trigger the "gotta go" sensation.

For those of you who still do not understand, here is a simple equation-

PAIN occurs when it goes through your kidney. Several days later, it passes into your bladder via the proper tubes OR it passes THROUGH the bladder wall, which creates the "gotta go" feeling.

SOMETIMES if the stone is large enough, you experience pain when you urinate. SOMETIMES, not always.

Snoozie 12-04-2008 02:56 PM

Well you didn't say anything about pain before you passed it. You just went all technical in why you pissed the bed.

I'm glad you find this funny. We'll see if your still laughing when you get one.

Its the most painful thing I have ever experienced.

And after I went through it all, I got to do it again two weeks later when a second stone formed.
