what charly said :p Besides, its just the tacks that go through the leather and into the wood where they couldn't sew the leather on.

have you found a place that can do this? I actually kinda dig the leather and wood soles... they sound awesome walking around lol. The other boot doesn't have this problem, but i did notice that the tacks aren't in the same position between the two boots.
This also isn't a surprise as they're at a region that gets flexed more than any other piece of the sole.
edit: there is a shoe repair place near work... and the reviews seem pretty good. I'll head over there tomorrow during lunch to see what they say
