Ok, just want to catch this before it gets out of hand... there's a gun thread which has been really successful. I don't see a reason to not keep gun discussion there instead of having multiple threads about similar things in off topic. Just feel like thats what makes the most sense as far as keeping things organized...

It's a Colt not a GSG and he loves it. Hell, I love it. I think I might pick one up sometime in the future.

cszakolczai 08-05-2009 01:11 AM

^ M4's are becoming harder to come by, incredible rifle to fire though. I love firing them just as much as I love firing the MP5.

blkZ06 08-05-2009 07:00 AM

The AR craze is pretty much over you can pick them up all over now

I have a Ciener .22LR conversion bolt and Blackdog mags in one of my ARs they are a ton of fun to shoot and ammo is dirt cheap, I got 7500rds of .22LR for 245$ off gunbroker

Munky 08-05-2009 09:45 AM

My gsg-5 is still my favorite gun to break out and just go to town with. Mostly like blkz06 just said...ammo is dirt cheap. So I don't mind running through a few hundred rounds every time I go out with it. Cause it barely costs as much as 50 rounds for any of my other guns.

just bought 300 rounds of winchester white box FMJ .45ACP for target at the pennsburg walmart last night, i couldn't believe how much they had. we bought the last boxes of .45, but they had about 15 boxes of 9mm and a few .40s&w too. check 'em out if you're looking for cheap target ammo.

do it. my local wally world (bechtelsville) has a few boxes every once in a while, but i have yet to see FMJ there. it's the WWB JHP, which is fine, but much more expensive. the pennsburg one had the FMJ ball ammo to throw at some paper. .45ACP was $31 for 100 rds. and 9mm was $21 per 100 rds. i didn't see the .40s&w price, but it has to be somewhere in between.

Not bad.. I've got a lot of paper I need to destroy.

Seven 08-05-2009 05:25 PM

Walmart was the ONLY place that had .45 ACP after I went to Army/Navy, Dicks, and 2 gun shops... I was like wtf why does walmart have it any no one else.

blkZ06 08-05-2009 06:00 PM

stop trying to find stuff in stores get it online, people are selling anything you could want

I go to the range and usually shoot between 300-600rds per caliber and im never low on any of it I can always find someone to restock with

I usually pick up 1000rds at a time and if you do the math the price works out to 5-13$ a box give or take

namdoogwerdna 08-05-2009 07:41 PM

Jordan when are we gonna go to the range? I'm moving home so no excuses now haha.

den9 08-16-2009 07:01 PM

went shooting at my mountain house this weekend, shot a caliber i never heard of, it was a 41 magnum, its round between a 357 mag and 44 mag. it stung my hand with the checkered wood grips.

i also finally got a chance to shoot the beretta 92fs and it was pretty comfortable, it had a weird design with the barrel and slide.

I agree with you 100%. I buy my ammo strictly online. Its much cheaper than buying it in any store. PM if you want to know which retailers i use. I would post them here but i am not familiar with the policy regarding posting pinks of webpages.

den9 08-16-2009 07:40 PM

im pretty sure you can post the link, i see links posted on good deals about taco bell and chikfila all the time, whats the difference.

the mike 08-16-2009 11:00 PM

Was the 92FS comfortable? It's on my list of "video game guns I want to own". :)

ILLJIM69 08-16-2009 11:11 PM

Sorry, late to the party. I just started my collection about two years ago, it's slowly coming along though. NY state is very communist in their hand gun laws, so I haven't had a chance to get my permit. Anyways......

I have a little Marlin 795, fun and cheap to shoot, reliable too. This one gets the most use out of my three firearms.

Random picture off the net, same thing, mine just has a little scope on it.

Most recently, I got a Remington 770, chambered in .243. Love this thing!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...9/DSC06878.jpg

Here I am using it on crappy beer.

Then comes my baby, Benelli Supernova, pistol grip and ghost ring sights. I love this gun, it's a blast to shoot things with.

Here is a HD-DVD player after a few rounds......

Then came a Heineken mini keg that was flat from the store.

Sabot in.....

Sabot out....

Slug in.....

Slug out.....

The keg getting hit with the slug........

It's a lot of fun taking things out back and blasting them! :supz:

My 16/203 that I lug around all day (and never shoot  )

And for no good reason.......rice must die!

it was very comfortable, had a nice balance and was pretty heavy, the recoil wasnt sharp at all, less than a glock 17

Why would I have an AT4 at a mall? :bigeek:

LOL, no, it was at a range at Ft. Benning. I worked the ammo drops and pick ups for ranges and on the weekends, we would just do them in civies because nobody gave a crap.

It's a crappy NC Star, nothing special, but it's sighted in perfect. No flat tops because our unit is fairly new and we don't have any M16A4s, just A2s. :(

I would be just as happy carrying a M9 around since I never really need a weapon anyway.
