i need a change, and I'm tired of scrounging around Gap and Old Navy for **** i kinda like. I don't intend on having a dozen $100 shirts... maybe one... there are a lot on the sites charly posted that around $30-$60

and quite frankly... that is more than i want to spend, but i also don't like the **** i find for $15-$20 at the mall anymore

with the stuff that charlybrown posted it seems like its not just the brand that your paying for yet the quality so its better than just spending it for the name unlike bape ****

like dr. phil, but different.

i don't think charly ever mentioned dressing to impress shallow chicks... and he's only really critiqued sr20 sean... but then again, it doesn't take someone that spends waaaay to much on a pair of jeans to critique that kids wardrobe...

he also has a better sense of style than most on here, i think... and well... he's a good person to talk to about possibly upgrading a wardrobe to something a bit further away from the norm

besides... i want to look good for twas when he visits :o

Oakes 11-09-2008 10:58 PM

Charly, what do you have to say about my wardrobe? what should I go for?

TROLL 11-09-2008 10:58 PM

ha i didnt mean it in a negative way at all... not trying to infer anything by my comment, just thought it'd be a funny thread.

and yeah there is a difference between a $15 tshirt and a $30 tshirt, and maybe even a $40 tshirt... but come on... when you're talking quality how much more room is there to grow with cotton? if thats your bag then thats totally cool, but this tshirt and jeans guy cant see how that type of $100 tshirt pricing is based around anything more than exclusivity, trends, and boutique branding.

the boutique branding is a HUGE part of the price.

I honestly don't mind, at this point in my life, spending a little more on my clothing to move away from the pack. I'm tired of dressing like everyone else... even though i've always been the best dressed of my friends... none of them give two hoots about style in any way shape or form.

Personally, i take pride in the way I look... but i haven't lately because I'm bored with my style now and need a revamp.

i cant see spending 120 on a tshirt but its not my wallet getting thinner 120 for a dress shirt isnt bad

I don't know what you mean by european styling.. but if you mean european fits, as in clothes that are slim.. I don't think it was ever "out".. but I know what you're saying

like scape said, I never mentioned anything about impressing shallow b*tches.. most of my wardrobe isn't what a lot of guys/girls find to be stylish.. I buy it because I like it and not to sound elitist, but I don't really care what most people think because they don't have a clue where my sense of style and clothing comes from

he's being a dick bag.

1) today we've been together 10 years. i wasn't looking for presents or anything stupid, maybe just an acknowledgement. but when i reminded him he said "omg a third of my life"

2) he has been a dick ever since he started grad school this fall cuz he's jealous of my free time (i'm not the one who told him to go back to school and work full time)

3) he is trying to register for spring semester and aparently its not going well so he's screaming and yelling at the computer, the phone & me.
