yea, I know that. If they Franchised Cassel, do you think Brady is gonna hang around and play 2nd fiddle? I think not...

We really wont know what will happen with Brady and Cassel probably until around camp time again. Its just too early.

The Pats are keeping their options open right now. With Brady's progress in question, and with how well Cassel did this season, its something to think about.

One of New England's magical QB's are going to free agency, I believe so is Matt Ryan. Can't think of any more off the top of my head but Kolb is not gonna be the guy to save this franchise, I agree completely, if that's what you were getting at.
McNabb is past his prime, inconsistant and cracks under pressure... give me a good reason why he SHOULDN'T go?

Cassel will most likely get the franchise tag, and pending the recovery of Tom Brady, could be the starter again next year.
Matt Ryan also isn't going to leave Atlanta right after his rookie season. I am sure that Atlanta will start to build themselves around Ryan.
Kolb, needs to gtfo. He is garbage even as a backup. There is NO reason, at all, he should be an NFL player.
McNabb might be past his prime, inconsistant, and cracks under pressure, but in reality, there are no other options out there. I'd rather have McNabb back there then say, Jay Cutler, Derek Anderson, or whoever.
