My friend picked up a springfield XD-9 the other day and damn, does that have a nice trigger action. The trigger/safety combo makes for an interesting combo but it feels good.

the trigger on the xd irritates my finger, dunno why but the glock doesnt. the owner of the gun agreed too, any1 else think so?

probevette 04-14-2009 10:08 PM

Not at all. I love my Xd's trigger

dwl137 04-15-2009 11:59 AM

I've never had an issue with the trigger on my XD9.

Jeffros Spec V 04-15-2009 12:51 PM

I've also have never had a problem with my xd trigger.

den9 04-15-2009 01:20 PM

weird, must of been his gun or something because we both had a problem.

I can understand what you are saying. I've shot probevette's XD and it did feel quite a bit different then my glock 17......my glock does have a competition trigger though. I guess that's probably an unfair comparision.

So I was looking at Glocks. Are they any good? I know they have a hugely popular name, but again, I don't know much about them. I was looking at the G19, the compact 9mm, anybody have experience with them? The price doesn't seem to be half bad, and I wouldn't mind paying for a good quality product. Like someone here said before, a bigger cal isn't gonna do any good if you can't hit the target, and there are more then enough rounds to put someone down in that 9 lol

Glocks are great guns. My family has the glock 17 and I just purchased a glock 34 last week. Very light, very accurate, very simple. Great starter gun, the 17 is an amazing gun for the price imo.

i think it was the safety thing on the trigger, maybe it was poking my finger tip when the gun was recoiling, not too sure, it wasnt bad enough where it would keep me from buying the gun.

Renegade_ 04-15-2009 07:36 PM

I don't know if they changed the design or whatnot, but the trigger was pretty soft and I didn't have an issue with it. It didn't bother me the least. I need to get my concealed carry permit soon - then for a handgun. I've shot a Glock 12, XD-9, and a S&W 1911, albeit briefly. I really still want to fire a USP before I make a choice as I have heard good things. Anyone own one?

blkZ06 04-15-2009 09:45 PM

when the Zombies come, im gonna be ready

I have a list of "will own" weapons, im about 1/4 of the way there

Side note, anyone have a cool weapon they have held/shot?

Ive shot machine guns and whatnot but probably the coolest gun ive ever held was a genuine Wells Fargo stage coach 1800s 12 gauge. You know the term riding shotgun, yea this gun is where that came from, gun had bodies on it. I almost bought it but I didnt have that much cash on me, if its still there come this fall its mine.

blkZ06 04-17-2009 12:46 PM

Yea guys would ride along with the Wells Fargo stage coaches with it for protection. Guy was asking 5600 for it.

I envy all of you, I can barely support my car addiction, can't afford to start another one.

I forgot to check today, but Claytons used to have one. The things an overweight piece of junk in my opinion, but it is a cool "just because" shotgun. I'd stick with your Benelli LONG before the SPAS. Why not get an M3 or M4 instead?

And I picked up a nice 1911 today, STI Lawman...

The FN SCAR should be here in another month or so (it's already been 6 months, what's another one or two :o )

blkZ06 04-17-2009 10:14 PM

Ill give Claytons a call tommorrow see if they still have it

Its just a cool ass shotgun I think my buddy had one and I loved shooting it, I dont really NEED any of my guns they are all just because so if I can track one down I would like to add it to my collection.

That 1911 is sweet thats on my to own list, I want a hardballer too
