It's a shame that this happened to someone's car. Well, not even the fact that it was a car, just someone's property in general.

And I wouldn't let spray paint remover anywhere near my clear coat. I'm sure a light rubbing compound or even final polish would've buffed the marker right off.

Anyhow, here is my stance on the whole "meet" thing. Most of you don't know me, but I know who most of you are, as I was probably invited by someone one of you probably know. I've been to a few meets one time or another, very briefly most of the time. To tell you the truth, the entire demeanor of most people at these meets is kind of ****ty.

The first and only time I went to the NJ meet at Bestbuy, I almost was blind sided by some cool guys riding around the parking lot in Crown Vic's. I went to the "Woodberry" meet once for about 15 minutes. As soon as I got out of my car I was greeted by a group of young punks smoking weed. The Bensalem meets - well I've never had a problem there, but after reading this, well it's not surprising to say the least.

Anyhow, to summarize - I don't know if it's users from this site, but most of the people at the meets seem like kids. That's were your problem lies. It's not that their ricers, import guys, muscle car guys, etc. It's just that they're kids, or they're adults with the maturity of a kid.

I think it's kind of funny how a good handful of you generalize a certain group and point fingers right away. What you drive has nothing to do with who you are, how you act on the other hand - that has everything to do with it.

Anyhow, that's my 2C. And yea, I drive a ricey Honda. You guys have probably seen my car before, it has veteran plates. That would be me.

Very good post. I have never been to any of the meets, Though. I did realize that the majority of people on this website are VERY young, And more then some, Not even old enough to drive yet. There is nothing wrong with that, But unfortunatly with young age, Comes the saying ''act your age''... And they do just that I guess. You will always have the jealous people out there that just look to vandalize property and posessions, And you will ALWAYS have at least ''that one person'' at every meet who is just constantly looking for trouble the entire time.

^ +1 on the good post. it is unfortunate that a few fell it necessary to act like 10 year olds and ruin what is a nice place to meet and hang out for the rest. and it's not just Tuners, there are dumbasses in all makes and models. again, i went to the Thurs. night meet there and it seems the Police have had there fill as well throwing everyone out less than 5 min after we got there.

i know we all love to open up our cars and wind them out, hell that's the whole reason we mod them. but you need to know there's a time and place to do it. i've had a few guys come along side of me wanting to go after i've left Sonic. sorry, but Street road ain't the place. i won't risk my license and risk my car getting impounded. the cops DO NOT mess around with street racing, especially on such a heavily traveled road. you're putting more than just yourselves at risk. they WILL throw everything they can at you (remember the 2 Honda's that got flatbedded after just a 2nd-3rd run not that long ago??)

This is exactly why I refuse to take my GA to the sonic meet, people are probably just going to talk **** in general. The timeslip will do the talking after I get my motor back together. from 6 psi, to 15 psi we should see 12s. Anyways, to the guy with the mustang, I'm very sorry to hear about that, I can't stand anyone who can be that immature. If I would've seen it I would have called him out on the spot. Today's society is getting way too rediculous.

I remember seeing two hondas on the side of the road pulled over... they got impounded?

03SVTCobra 03-25-2010 02:56 PM

^ we sat and watched the flatbed come down the road after they were pulled over. then someone from our club was behind the flatbed with one of the Hondas on it after we left. lemme go see if i can find the thread from when that was...
