mrchariybrown 12-02-2008 05:07 PM

yeah, I still pick lung cancer..

works out because I don't want to live a long life haha

ASIAN JUL 12-02-2008 05:10 PM

well if you get small cell lung cancer you most certainly won't have to worry about living a long life lol. most aggressive lung cancer there is. i think the median life span is 6 months or something

i smoked for a year and a half and i quit cold turkey. will power is all you need to do it.

Bizee 12-02-2008 06:26 PM

smoked for about 12 years and haven't had a single drag in 2 years now..i was in the hospital for a week from a car accident and couldn't smoke so i took the opportunity to try to keep it going.

i want to smoke all the time though, its still very hard every single day not to pick it back up..i have cravings just like i never quit at all but i know if i have even just one ill be back smoking full force.

arkadyzv 12-02-2008 07:08 PM

Just recently quit. For the 2nd time.

What cig's do you smoke now? Switch to the lightest thing possible. While cigarettes are cigarettes, ultra lites dont feel as heavy or disgusting.

As far as the gum and lazanges, I tried the lazanges but they tasted like complete utter ****.

I used Chantix, its doctor prescribed. Blocks the nicotine receptors in the brain, you smoke for the first week, then stop while taking the medicine, you take it for I think a few months. I just stopped the second week. Probably the only thing I've tried that worked insanely well.

But I've only smoked for a year or two. It might be different for people that have smoked for a while, that and one of the main reasons I smoked was boredom. Driving= smoke, sit all day in the office=smoke, waiting for food at a restaurant=smoke, it was always a great time filler.

In the end though, as stated many a time, you have to want it. If you do relapse, smoke something disgusting like Reds, one drag should be nasty enough.

ASIAN JUL 12-02-2008 07:19 PM

I smoke Marlboro Reds..and light cigarettes make me puke & I end up cutting filgters off.

tretiak 12-02-2008 07:34 PM

i quit smoking for 3 years and then i started working at a ski resort and when i was sitting at the top of the lift with nothing to do i started to smoke just to pass time. now im hooked and have been trying to quit for about a month. i went from smoking newport regulars to camel filters. and have cut my smoking in half.i now smoke about half a pack a day. pretty soon im going to be cutting down to about 5 cigs a day and just go down to 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 and finally none. i know i can quit its just working 3rd shift that kills me.

Uh Reds. I used to smoke Smooths before, they weren't as bad as Reds but pretty beastly, in all honesty it might be easier to quit from a light cigarette than something as diesel as Reds. At least it was for me, ultra lights took me some chain-smoking to adjust to, at the end, they felt a lot less nasty than anything harsher.

i smoke reds because i cant stand menthol*sp* and i dont think i'll quit anytime soon because it gives me something to do and it cuts the habbit.. and this way i wont have to get as many tux rentals when all my friends die when they are 90... and when people say it adds "10 years to your life when you quit" why the hell would i want to be half brain dead in a old person home anyways...

and plus, kamel red lights are SO good..

I don't smoke.

I used to smoke off and on when I was younger, but I never got cravings. I would smoke a pack every two weeks for a few months, but then I would get bored with it and quit for like 4 months, get bored again and start back up.

Now if I smoke even half a light cig, I get sick. If I try a Newport regular, I'm almost throwing up after the first two drags.

Thread necro!

Trying to quit (again). Why is it everytime I try to quit, I notice people smoking around me more and more. I try to leave, but the scent of freshly lit cigarettes and cigars just follows me and causes me to get nic jitters.

AHHH!
(Marlboro menthols, smooths, reds (all of the above in 100's only), camel crush, djarum black, djarum splash, djarum bali hai, black and mild...)

ASIAN JUL 08-08-2009 01:21 AM

I hear they're banning Djarums or something...

Oh and I used the electronic cigarette to quit. Took a little over 2 weeks. I've had two halves of a cigarette and one whole since February. And that's it.

Banning all flavored cigarettes and cigars because their marketing targets underage teens.

Not like that should really matter because stores should be ****ing carding anyway. The FDA is full of retards.

WTF is an electronic cigarette?

3rdGenMr2Girl 08-08-2009 01:25 AM

i smoke ten a day. yummy.

ASIAN JUL 08-08-2009 01:26 AM

Yeah. I'm going to buy a pack of Djarums and smoke em while I still can. The most non-cigarette-tasting-cigarette EVER.

Oh and it's basically a metal thing that looks like a cig. You charge the part that looks like a filter, insert a nicotine cartridge and inhale as you would a regular cigarette. It creates a vapor that delivers nicotine but it is a water vapor.

Basically it lets you have the motions of smoking, the nicotine, but none of the extra **** in cigarettes.
