My Z06 has 10.5" wire rears and the 295 tires are about flush. Could maybe go 1 or 2 sizes bigger max. 305 would be nice but no all-seasons that big for me :-{ |
I don't usually agree going with 2 sizes bigger than what would be a recommended. Just looks goofy at times and is not the proper tire overall.
|
definitely wouldnt get rid of the stock stuff. would love to get some snow tires on them
|
Just put some weights in the back and you should be ok. I've got stuck a couple times. It sucked haha.

But anyways. You know if they were the "true" wheels, they would be so much more expensive. That's why we have some center caps that are $50 a piece, because they are directly from Ford. |

i had a similar situation with my z06. Bank was giving me difficulty for a loan on a older car. Same thing....higher %...oh well. I got it on a 60 month loan. Been saving well and should be able to pay it off in may.....about 15 payments early. Can't wait to be debt free.
|
Yo night crew, hows it going? I subscribe to the 'used cars, no payments' thing whenever possible and think I'll probably keep doing that in the future as long as its possible. I can't deny that new cars and fancy cars are rad though so its all good either way.
And the combo of moving to FL with a new job and the Spring Meet coming up means that I have no life... at all. Spent all night tonight working on stuff and thats basically been the norm for the past 3 weeks or so. Looking forward to the meet, and looking forward to the meet being over too, haha. Things are looking great though, we have already raised more sponsor dollars than ever before and I'm still trying to get a few more maybe's on board :). Also, just found a sweet house to rent down here with Trista. Its a small 2 bed 2 bath in a really nice area, and has an oversized detached 2 car garage... couldn't have asked for anything better. Psyched to move in even though we're essentially furniture-less right now, haha. |
meh, the only furniture you really need is a mattress. Just sit on the moving boxes and use them for a table too until you've gotten all settled in and can afford new furniture. Goodluck with the whole move by the way

Pulling the motor on the wagon tonight.... again. using a different machine shop this time.... yay

You say this now but I have an oversized 2 car garage and I want one more like the one my dad built growing up. We had the 2 car oversized attached to the house and then a detached garage that would be considered at least 10 cars. It could fit at least 4 cars deep and 3 cars wide though we only ever had like 4 cars in there and a bunch of junk.

Antonio, yeah thats kind of our approach right now... we have the bed and we'll fill in the rest over time.
piku, I already know you're right... I'm downsizing from the equivalent of a 6 car garage space and I'm worried about being able to condense all of my stuff down. Granted I never made a huge effort to keep things consolidated in the past since I didn't need to so I'm not really sure how things will condense, but we'll see how my tools, work bench, and all of my car parts, tires, etc. fit down here. I'm estimating I had about 2-3 bays worth of parts just laying on the ground, at least 1 bay worth of shelving with tools, parts, etc. and then 2 bays were open for the car. Regardless, finding a house with a 2 car garage down here for a reasonable price is definitely a win, it was tough to find places with garages in general without them being $1800+ a month which is not what we were trying to pay. I'm planning to build a lot of shelving and create as much storage space as I can, and we'll see where that gets us. Without ever having cars in it I'd estimate its about 6-8' deeper than it needs to be and about 6' wider as well so it has room around it for shelving, tools, and a work bench. Rob... thats close! Let me know if you're ever down here. Probably 25-30 mins from were I'll be living and even less from where I'm working. Oh here's the place, I forgot I put some pics online yesterday. Sorry that they're big. http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...e/803356a5.jpg http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...e/635e4a68.jpg |
Looks like a nice place, Harbor freight shelving will be your best friend
|
Bryan that's a cool little place man. Usually my girlfriend and I would take a trip down once a year for a week, but this year we are going to sit it out I think since we got a house about a month ago. I will definitely let you know if I'm ever down there though.

Day is going quick so far.

Can't for the life of me figure out why a harness bar is $400 and seat brackets are $100s each.
Really thinking of just fabbing my own for probally under $250. |
