215/45 or stick with what I have and the 225/45 tires.....again on a 17x9 wheel? Thoughts!

Also I currently have Kumho SPT tires which have a wear rating of 320AA...Looking for a tire that has better rating hopefully around a 400AA but also stretch good. Anyone use the Falken Ziex 912s? They have a 360 rating and I have rear a ton of recommendations that they stretch great...but curious on road noise, and stuff.

in DD mode it used to get around 20mpg which isnt to bad for a turbo 4. LMK if you have any questions or want to check it out sometime :supz:

I realize having a fun DD and got mpg dont always go in hand, but i for a new DD it needs to be decent.

Looks good, do you have any concern for traction or ios it simply for looks? (tires)

^damn you i was going to do this haha. looks good though. do you still have the silver center bezel around the radio? i didnt know this before but i bought a black one supposedly regular neons came in black, not silver that doesnt match anything lol got it for 10 bucks n looks super sweet..

n please dont stretch de la tires... it really doesnt look good on our cars imo.

boostedfury 08-02-2011 09:15 AM

munky..always makes me laugh

as far as performance I drive like a grandma and for the track I have slicks. Most likely I am gonna stick with 225 however the Dunlops run bigger than their listed size so I might try those in a 215/45 and see what happens. Too many decisions.

OMGz Turbo 08-02-2011 09:20 AM

I hate you. I seriously miss my SRT more and more

boostedfury 08-02-2011 09:37 AM

I will take that as a compliment haha

Erik@R/TTuning 08-02-2011 09:58 AM

Nice job on the door cards. I wrapped mine in something similar and it actually holds up really good.

boostedfury 08-02-2011 10:09 AM

Thanks Eric surprisingly this 3m di noc is pretty easy to work with..just need patience

Wanted to give people that follow this an update:

Needs tires and inspection by the end of the month, but about to buy my first house so might have to let her sit for awhile. I decided for now to just roll with what works tire wise and am staying with kumho but switching from the summer performance to all season performance. Also car blows some white smoke under boost so gotta check that out. Lol

boostedfury 08-10-2011 11:21 PM

to make matters worse...my aeroforce interceptor scan gauge just took a dump tonight on the way home from the gym. Was driving and looked at it and the numbers were reading upside down...LOL (but not really)...and I looked again and she shut off....This car hates me lol...and I hate it.

My list of issues keeps growing everytime I fix something, she rears her gay, ugly, POS, domestic neon head.....

Should have let her been totaled and got something else back in 08 lol...

Anyway I was thinking of having an install/maintenance day in my cul de sac this sunday all day. LMK if anyone is interested that is local... I figure all our cars probably need at least an oil change if not some mods done, so would be a great day to get some people together and help each other out. PM me if interested.

OMGz Turbo 08-11-2011 10:27 AM

FYI my sunroof started leaking too....After i tried closing it at 140mph lmao

DaBombDiggidy 08-11-2011 01:40 PM

shouldnt ever have the sunroof open @ more then 80mph. thats too much pressure for the bracket they used to it may push it off center. ive never herd of an aeroforce gauge do that either, but im sure they will replace it if you call them and you probably have a leaking seal in that turbo. IMO i know your mad at the car, but it seems all aftermarket tinkering has been your problems not something that came the way it was on the car. beside a locked caliper piston ive had no problem with OEM stuff for the 50k miles ive owned her.

back to the leaking turbo i dunno what you have but make sure you have a 3/8ths check valve. companys sold other sizes before and they make the car smoke, because of the crank case pressure.

boostedfury 08-11-2011 03:14 PM

Trust me bombdig i know it's from all the mods but it seems like the bad luv follows me. For instance sunroof should not leak on a 6 yr old car lol, and I emailed aeroforce and praying they can fix my gauge or god willing replace it! Also how much generally does a turbo rebuild kit cost and how hard to do, others chime in too. Love the car just want it to at least be reliable 70% of the time haha
