The t-25 is still tight, so it's not like I'm in need of a turbo. I have a way of excessively thinking about what i will do way before i do it. for instance, i am looking at the VRSF SR FMIC, 650 or 850 injectors, fuel lab AFPR kit, and when i install the v3 lifters i wanna do 272/272 BC cams. but based on what i hear i'm sure things will change.

EDIT: WAIT WAIT, WTF HOW DO U GET A HOLE THERE????? THATS NOT NORMAL!

EklipzGSXkid 10-20-2010 11:38 PM

A previous "DSM'ER" cut that out... Why? I have NO idea.

On another note about another ****ty dsm hack job.

A guy who i've recently met and sold some dsm parts too dropped this bumper off. It needed to be re-sprayed northstar white. The last coat that was on it, Was white spray paint. The entire bumper was major orange peel, and had over 50 runs. I then found out the bumper was red, maroon, purple, black, burgandy, green, grey, white, and then white spray paint. All of which each color just kept getting scuffed and painted over....What a pain in the ass. I originally quoted him $50 for doing the bumper, And all paint/supplies included in that price. I didn't realize the prep work would take hours to get done correctly. Oh well, He got a deal I guess!

sealed finally:

my front bumper was scuffed and spray painted by me. LOL. but i couldnt roll with a maroon bumper. i DID use 600grit between coast so its decently smooth. i just shoulda used primer first, i have some chips.

what primer do you use for the bumpers that sticks well? i was gonna paint mine and clear but my base isnt that great.

ur work looks GREAT!!!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. They make adhesion promotors, And they also make different products for when you are painting a urethane bumper.

I'm actually suprised to see that nobody else has anything to say about the engine bay picture I posted of the car I bought off a previous dsm guy'. The car got passed through a few NEPA " Dsmer's "..... Just not sure what one of them was thinking when they did that to the frame rail ETC!

Here's for starters. It's bigger, And worse in person. There's no subframe bolt going through the subframe to the frame rail, Either. The one bolt to the control arm was finger tight, But not even on all the way. I'm glad I did not finish the car being it ''didn't need much'', And sell the car and ahve someone get killed..... Then I'd be getting the blame for this. I'm cutting the car in pieces now.

The entire harness is a MESS. Along with a few other parts of it. I pulled the trans tonite. There was no speed sensor. It had a Rubber glove blocking the whole... Ha ha ?

I am not posting any names of who owned this car, Because I have no idea which owner owned it, But I know every owner who owned it was a dsmer' and are on different forums. I'm not trying to call anyone out, I'm just posting for some people to see what gets done to these cars.

I converted close to 50 of them that I had of mine, This year alone I know that. I don't know an exact number though through-out my span of dsm's over the past 10 years. :o

I did not even notice the frame rail either. You can't see how bad it actually is in the picture. It looks like someone also took a BIG hammer, And just kept smashing the frame rail aswell. I don't know if someone just thought they did not need the frame rail, Or they tried installing the motor and when they had a hard time with something touching the frame rail, They cut the rail rather then trying to install the engine the correct way?

HaveBlue83 10-21-2010 09:48 AM

maybe they did an A/C change and needed room for tools or something. haha. whatever it was they ruined a dsm.

t-25s pull?! when did this happen?:lol:

HaveBlue83 10-22-2010 03:05 PM

well, they do when they're tight and have full exhaust to breathe. lol.

16g is getting sent off this weekend.

PS i found black carpet in the junkyard. guy said its $25. i grabbed the center console for $25 at lunch (it was sitting in the rear of the car, no damage! hahaha. going back for the nice black dash and carpet after work.

EklipzGSXkid 10-23-2010 08:59 PM

Tearing more apart. Too bad the pictures doesn't show the entire garage and the other side, downstairs, and upstairs, Because the entire garage looks like a dsm junkyard. Extremly busy the past two weeks there. 15hr days, and 10hr days on the weekends trying to get caught up. cars and parts EVERYWHERE. :\

Glad to see this thread not dying!

Eklipzgsxkid, you're hardcore! Do you do any racing with the cars?

EklipzGSXkid 11-02-2010 10:26 AM

I useto race my dsm's every friday nite/ saturday morning at the dragstrip, But now I only build them and sell them, Or work on them for people from all over. I have 4 being dropped off in the next two days.

When I build them and color-change them , I drive them for a week before selling them, To make sure they are o.k. If I drive them any longer then that, I'll want to keep all of them ! I haven't built one for myself to keep in about a year. The last one I built (2gB gsx)-(ported clipped 20g, with every bolt on mod), I left my g/f daily drive until she just didn't want the car any longer so I sold that one aswell).

I don't think I'll ever be able to get away from them though. Every time I try, I come back with a ton more then I left off with. Now it's at it's all time high of 3-6 2g gsx's every single month. I don't see myself buying any more then that per month now, unless I had someone to help me rather then doing everything myself.

HaveBlue83 11-02-2010 07:04 PM

there arent gonna be any more left man.....

then what? the days of barnyard GSX/TSi finds are OVER now!

EklipzGSXkid 11-02-2010 11:40 PM

there will always be dsm's forsale. I'm patiently waiting until the 03' evo's drop a bit more in price so I can can start buying them. I've noticed alot of them are becoming like dsm's... Owned by teenage kids who hack them together, blow them up, or wreck them. In a few years if dsm's are no longer to be had, Then evo's will replace them all!

Thought this would be a bit brighter but it's not unfortunatly. More arrived tonite. More arriving in the next few days.
