I had my knee drained today....the Dr. pulled out 135mL of fluid from my knee and then shot me up with some cortizone. It feels alright right now. While in the room after the procedure i sat up and felt light headed and dizzy as **** and fainted...the next thing i know i wake up with 2 doctors standing over me asking if i was feeling ok...i asked what the hell happened and he said i fell back and hit my head on the wall. So i sat there for a bit they gave me something to eat and drink until i felt up to driving. After that i went and grabbed lunch b/c i was being sent over to paoli hospital to have blood work done....so i got poked by not one but two needles today....one of which was the size of my middle finger. I think it was just the thought of that huge ass needle being shoved into my knee that made me faint....that thing was ridiculous

God I ****ing hate needels. I hate it every time I have to go into the doctors office just to get blood work done. Thats the number one thing that I hate.

I have really hard to find veins. They usually try both my arms then my hands...ugh...

So do I. The doctor that I see, they are usually good at finding my veins on the first try though. but they usually take alot of blood out. Forces me to go to BK afterwards, because not being able to eat for what I think is 8 hours, really sucks.

Mine are horrible. Always.

mrchariybrown 08-26-2008 12:45 AM

my veins show up really easily, but they have a tendency to "roll" whenever a needle is stuck in them..

two visits ago, the nurse tried to take a blood sample from me.. tried in 6 huge veins (3 in each arm) and each time the vein "rolled over" on her. I had to reschedule

I hate when they poke a needle in a vein and it doesn't work. Happened to me a few times.

mrchariybrown 08-26-2008 01:35 AM

yeah, that ruined my whole day
