So I'm looking to get a handgun and I'm in the $850 range I've found a Sig P220 Elite stainless and an HK USP 45 Expert any thoughts on which is the better gun?

I have a brand new (150 rounds through) Para Ordnance c6.45 1911 Carry with the LDA trigger in stainless that I'm thinking of parting with. The MSRP is $1200 but I'd let it go for allot less if you were interested. It's a .45 cal BTW.

Find somewhere that rents and shoot both, pick the one most ergonomic to you.

HK and Sig both make fine pistols, get the one most comfortable and accurate for YOU

ein 03-01-2010 03:24 PM

I have rented and shot both and like them equally, as far as I can tell, I'm a handgun noob so I'm not experienced enough to know that much about what I'm liking (if that makes any sense). I'm essentially basing this purchase on cool factor (aesthetically), future resale value, and accuracy (the gun not me). Of the pistols I've looked at the 45's seem to offer a better bang for the buck (lol no pun intended). There seems to be alot more interesting choices in the 45 market, I'm assuming due to the price of ammo. I have shot a 1911 recently but I will probably make that purchase later if I maintain an interest in handgun shooting.

Mine is actually light double action meaning it's a 1911 style gun with a double action (no cocking hammer) trigger that has the crisp feel of the 1911 trigger. It's the best of both worlds. I even have a set of punisher grips that I'll throw in lol.

I have shot that pistol a few times. It is super accurate and has very little kick. With the right ammounition that pistol can be very potent. I am a member at a range in south philadelphia. They also have a gun shop. They have a few for sale at around $1100 to $1200. If you want the name and of the shop shoot me a PM.

1988 Olds 03-12-2010 04:39 PM

Does anyone have a S&W M&P Gun. Perferable Looking at the 9c model. I've been trying to decide between that and a G26/G19 as my next gun. I've shot several glocks and really like the way they shoot and how accurate I am with them. I do however already own a S&W 9VE Sigma and have been happy with it. I'm just looking for something a tad smaller to carry. If anyone has one and wouldn't mind meeting up and letting me test it out I'd be very happy. If your near state road bensalem area I'm a member at Pistol People and will gladly pay for you to shoot for the night if you let me try it. Anyone have any personal preference between the two guns?

ASIAN JUL 03-12-2010 04:46 PM

I'd appreciate it if anyone had any suggestions for a fairly inexpensive .38 revolver... :)

blkZ06 03-12-2010 04:52 PM

I have a 5.7 it's a nice gun to shoot, extremly light even fully loaded it feels like nothing, recoil is minimal. Its a nice piece to add to the collection, pick one up

Drftpretty 03-12-2010 05:39 PM

Uhhhh Dave you need to come shooting this weekend asap. How can you never have shot that Drag? I would have taken her right from the gun shop to the range when I picked it up.

i have an M&P 40C and i love it. it's the same exact frame as the 9C you're looking at, just a larger caliber. i have no idea where bensalem or pistol people is but i'd be more than happy to find them sometime and let you try out the gun.

for me the choice was simple. i hate the way most glocks feel and i couldn't afford the Sig. haha. i started looking at S&W and the M&PC just fit my hand very well and felt very natural.
