The D5000 either got recalled or discontinued due to issues...can't remember which. The D90 definitely isn't a "beginner" DSLR but is a great camera.

Good luck with your search!

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 Canon mount for sale. Looking for around $500, or willing to trade for a Canon 10-22.

Any info on this lens? Curious to see some shots. I'm looking for a good super wide angle lens. Also, will this fit a full frame Canon? I don't know much about Tokina lenses.

Probably picking up a d50 in trade this weekend for iPhone well see if he backs out I've read the reviews comparing the d50 to the d70 and for begginer dslr the d50 doesn't seem too bad comes with two lenses case charger

what I would be looking for is a cheap but efficient tripod and backpack style case

any thoughts on that trade?

97MaximaSE 02-08-2010 04:37 PM

depends on the lenses you got with the trade really. but theres not monthly fee to use a d50, so id say its definitely a good trade in the long run, especially if you're going to really get into photography.

16-35L, 17-40L or the 15L fisheye. are the best bet for a full frame wide angle.
I own the 17-40L and it is great. I would not spend next to double for the 16-35, it really has such a limited use at f2.8. But if you can find the version 1 used, it would be pretty close in price to the 17-40.

i had a 10-22 Canon on a cropped body, the 17-40/16-35 Full frame are equivalent to the 10-22 on a cropped sensor.

I have a 10-22 that i would be willing to let go?

the d50 is a really sweet camera. i used one for years before upgrading, and you will be able to shoot a while before you outgrow it. like it was mentioned, kind of depends on the glass you are getting but the body is a solid choice. the d70 really isnt much better btw

It comes with the kit lens then I believe a 70mm idk the specs

NIKON STUFF: SB-28 Flash and SC-17 off-shoe coiled cored

I have a Nikon Sb-28 Flash that works great and a SC-17 off-shoe cord that extends to about 6 ft. This cord will work in full manual or metering mode on Nikon SB600, SB800 and SB900. This flash needs to be used in manual mode on most current cameras but most flash shooters like to use it in manual also. The flash is in great condition, there is a smudge on the back screen in the upper left but does not effect anything. Also it has velcro on the head to hold other attachments, its the velcro side that doesnt stick to stuff.

I am looking to get 150 shipped and paypalled for both things.

Isn't the Canon 10-22 an EF-S lens? I thought those won't work on a full frame camera. I'm considering the 17-40L...just waiting for a used one to pop up. :)

yes the EF-S is only for cropped bodies, I was just tossing it out there (since it is the FS/WTB thread, it shouldn't of had a question mark at the end. my bad.

I'm looking to upgrade. A D90 body or complete if anyone is selling one.

Also seeing if anybody is interested I have my Nikon D60 body+battery+18-55mm AF-S VR kit lens, Its a little more than a year old. One of the plastic tri-locks on the kit lens is broken but it still works and auto-focuses. Glass is still perfect. The body is in great shape. $350
