I've got to go to Claytons tomorrow to with the g/f to get a CCW gun for her, still not 100% on what she is going to get.

AR15's are certainly selling like hotcakes, and Claytons is one of the few that still have them in stock (plus lowers and mags). The price also went up 50% plus on stripped lowers, overnight. :(

i think it was on the shelf, he wanted a colt and they didnt have any so he said put me down on the list, but the guy said they are pretty much all the same, so my dad left and called back an hour later and put a deposit on it, definetly a awesome gun, expensive to shoot kinda. definetly getting a membership at classic pistol.

i think im going to apply for my ccw permit tommorow, i just dont know where exactly to go, i know the sheriffs office, wherever that is.

edit- for anyone interested in getting a permit id do it now before some kind of ban happens. kinda pricey though

i just bought a springfield armory 4" xd45 with black slide and tan frame. will post pics when i get home. Conceals great and groups even better! used to carry a glock 36(love the xd soo much better) and had a remmington 700bdl .243 with a bushnell 5-9x scope and bipod. Could reach out and touch someone from 300 yards. I really wanna get an armorlite ar50 soooo bad.

This may be my next pistol. My buddy is going to give me a good deal on it, double stack mag .45 FTW! Though I don't know if I want a Springfield for my first 1911!

ndubz, Britain's military uses the AI rifles, and they are some serious $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I'd LOVE to have an AI .338 lapua rifle. I haven't heard of the kill that you are talking about, the longest I heard was from a bolt action McMillian .50 bmg at 1.5 miles.

Why don't you want a Springfield 1911 Jeffros? I'm probably going to end up with a GI. The GI and MIL-spec might not be blinged out, nor are they competition accurate 1911's, but they are some of the most reliable out of the box 1911's there are.

My membership ran out last month, and I haven't been back there since. I like that place, everything except for the douchebag kid that works the counter.

Oh, and I don't hunt (though I started going when I was around 10, through 18, just never shot at a deer). I've never shot a live animal, nor have I wanted to, but when my friends bring me some venison, I wish I did! Hell, in the 8 years of going out in the woods for hunting season, I never even witnessed a buck.

deer are getting scarce by my mountains, im hoping to kill a few coyotes soon, they are 24/7 in season, that means u can hunt at night too.

i could care less what i hit, alot of people hunt for trophy's, i just like the meat, my friend made a point when he said why would someone want to kill such a nice looking animal, i agree, i think a monster buck would look cooler in the woods than on my wall. my dad shot an elk with a bow in colorado, cant wait to try that meat, its been a bitch trying to get it shipped back, the taxidermist wont take CC over the phone.

in bucks county there are so many damn deer, id love to shoot 10 of them. its hard finding spots these days, so if anyone has land hook it up.

if i do shoot something this year im gonna try and make my own jerky, and have the butcher make all kinds of snack meats. they are the only things that really taste good, and its alot easier to give away.

I just bought a new glock 37, wanted the small size but power with it. After reading a little I hear that the higher caliber glocks tend to, (in my own words) blow up the barrel. I read this on a glock page dont remeber where, just made me think for a sec said it can destroy the gun and cause injury or death.. ha. I know glock quality but wtf.
